Tonight I created a card with a couple of my Whipper Snapper Designs stamps, and thought I’d share the inspiration with you.
I used Potted Gnome Girl, and a sentiment from Everyday Sentiments cling mount set (it’s stamped inside the card) to create this cheerful card, with a whole lotta sparkle and shine! The image is stamped on a cotton paper, colored with Zig Clean Color water based brush markers, with Glitter Dust added for sparkle.
If you would like to see the creation process of this card, you’re in luck! I uploaded a video. 🙂

It is an “old is new” day for the Impression Obsession team, where we feature older products in the Impression Obsession catalog. Not only do we love featuring older images, but also showing you how you can breath new life into images you may already have in your stash! We hope you're inspired!
The card I created for today’s inspiration is called Love Angel, and is a darling image! I also used the What If sentiment, one of my all-time favorite IO sentiments. The images are stamped on watercolor paper, painted with Da Vinchi watercolor pigments, set on a layer of silver glitter cardstock and mounted to a pink card base. Then, I spritzed the entire card with Glitter Dust spray, and added some Stickles glitter glue for even MORE sparkle and shine! I love it!
Be sure to pop over to the Impression Obsession blog for a full list of the designers participating in today’s inspiration, and visit the Impression Obsession website for a full catalog of rubber stamps and dies!
And, I made a video of the creation of this card. Enjoy!

The Impression Obsession design team is featuring dies as the main focus for our inspiration projects today.
I created this Folk Art Snowflake card that has a sweet country design to it! I cut the snowflake from a heavyweight white card stock and adhered it to a piece of kraft colored card stock that I stamped the Grunge Cover-a-Card background stamp on, as well as some script text for added visual interest. I used Caramel hybrid ink for the stamped images. I adhered the card front to a piece of brown glitter paper, which I then adhered to a kraft card base.

Welcome to the CardMaker and The Paper Loft Blog Hop! Today the CardMaker Designers and The Paper Loft Designers will be showing you wonderful projects featuring papers from The Paper Loft.
For my project, I chose to make a journal using the Great Outdoors patterned cardstock collection. The base of my project is a Maya Road Binder Book, with 6"x6" pages.
I kept the embellishments all very simple, and user friendly! A few leaves, a banner, and a button threaded with hemp twine keep things easy.
Like videos?! You're in luck! I made one, sharing this journal in more detail. Enjoy!
I encourage you to enjoy today's hop! Make sure to comment on each of the blogs in the hop. One winner will be randomly chosen to win a $25 Gift Certificate from The Paper Loft! The winner will be chosen on August 31st at 9pm CT and announced on The Paper Loft Blog on September 1st.

If you're a stamper and you like challenges, or you're new to the idea of challenges and want to give one a whirl, I invite you to participate with The Challenge Chicks! We're a small group of friends and stampers hosting monthly challenges. Won't you join us?!
Our challenge for February 2014 is issued by Diane! She is challenging us with the topic of My Furry Valentine, and asks us to make a Valentine using a critter themed image. I love this topic because not only do I love using critter themed stamps, but I also love making little projects for critters in our immediate and extended family!
For my project I decided to make little dog treat pouches with Valentine themed toppers. I used my Twiggy stamp on one, and a Penny Black stamp on the other. These pouches are quick, easy and FUN! to put together.
If you'd like to see other toppers I've made, here are a few links for you:

I finished the Halloween treat toppers! The bags are entire pound of fun gummies of all sorts!
The ghost image is from The Stamps of Life Spooky2Scare stamp set. The sentiment tag was made with small little stamps I bought at Michael's a few years ago. The topper was made with an ornate label die from Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard (cut and then scored and folded down the center), and a couple of Spellbinders circle dies.
The back of the topper has a list of creepy treats Alan and I dreamed up.
Don't they sound delish!? Each thing on the list is represented by a different kind of candy in the bag. Oooooh, gooey fun!
I also put together a basket of goodies, including one of the big candy bags, one of my Halloween Pencil Treats, and a cute little Halloween notepad I bought earlier this month. The basket is a wooden berry basket that I painted black and dressed up with holiday papers, tulle, buttons, and twine.
If you'd like to see the video I made where I share the toppers and a few other Halloween projects, here you go!
If you have trouble viewing the video here on my blog, you'll find it on my YouTube channel.

Now that this fun project has been received, I can share the video and not spoil the surprise!!
If you're having trouble viewing the video here on my blog, check it out on my YouTube channel.
Here are some detail photos of the journal.
The journal measures 5.5" x 6" and is bound together with a Rubicoil Binding Machine and a 14mm coil. I used various Spellbinders leaf dies as well as a couple EK Success punches for all of the leaves.
The banners were made with the Banners #2 stamp/die set, from Sizzix. The buttons (except the one of the cover) are from The Stamps of Life. I liked the matte finish, and they were the perfect size!
The patterned papers are from the Happy Camper 6x6 pad, from Echo Park. I used various colors and brands of cardstock for the folio pages. The white paper is Fabriano Medioevalis cards and small sheets.
I loved creating the pocket pages using various printed papers and leaves.
I used lots of differnent kinds of papers in the journal to add interest and places for her to clip little notes, photos, or lists. I used this die cut shape several times as a colorful divider between sections. The die is from the Majestic #2 Labels set, from Sizzix.
I thought the pages looked fun, all fanned out.
And the edges of the papers were all so different and interesting!
The leaf cluster on the front is full of color and texture!
This was a super fun project to make! *Smooches!*
Supplies:
Rubicoil Binding Machine
Binding Coils (4:1 Pitch, which means 4 holes per inch)
Buttons: The Stamps of Life
Dies: Majestic #2 Labels, Banners #2, MFT Feathers
Paper: Happy Camper by Echo Park, Party Day by Crate Paper, Fabriano Medioevalis

I have a cute fall themed project to share with you, featuring my Farm Scarecrow image, the new Chicken Wire background, and a sentiment from my Harvest Blessings cling mount set. Oh, and please excuse the goofy lighting in these photos ... my other desk lamp is currently being used as a warmer for Earl Grey, my current temporary house chick. *grin*
The scarecrow is stamped in black Memento ink and colored with Touch Twin markers. I stamped the Chicken Wire background image in Stormy Sky Distress Ink, and inked the edges of the blue paper layer with the same color ink.
The sentiment is stamped in black StazOn ink, and the die cut banner is from MFT.
I think he turned out pretty darn cute! He'll be popped in the mail later this week.
And, for those of you who enjoy watching the process, I made a video for you! *grin*

Hi-ya! A quick and easy project to share today! It would be a perfect project for quick gift for teachers, co-workers, or even as small holiday gifts for people like your post office crew! An easy Post-It Note wrap that you can decorate and embellish with most any paper/stamp/sticker you might have in your stash.
For this wrap I used paper, chipboard, and a stamp from the Cosmo Cricket Smore Love line I picked up a couple of weeks ago. *Love it!* I was so happy to find these cute crafty goodies, since the Mr. Campy line is my very favorite Cosmo Cricket line. Smore Love is a coordinating line with Mr. Campy.
The cover is easy to make. For a 3"x3" Post-It Note stack, cut a piece of cardstock to 3 1/8" x 6 5/8", and make score lines at 3 1/8" and 3 1/2" to create the center spine. For the designer paper, I used 3"x3" squares, so there was just a thin border showing around all sides. Decorate as you'd like!
Want to watch a video of this little project being put together? Lucky for you, I made one! *grin*

Last month, Whipper Snapper released three new cling mount sets, illustrated by me! I thought I'd share a project using the new Lure the Best set, AND share a video I made showing how to prepare the Whipper Snapper cling mount sets for use.
I used several images from the set to create my card. The vest, hat, lure, sentiment, and the fun fishy border image to create the background layer. I colored the images with ShinHan Touch Twin markers, for lots of color pop.
I put together this video, sharing how to prepare your cling mount sets for use. At the end, I share this card as well. Hope you enjoy the video! As always, if you have trouble viewing the video here on the blog, you can check it out on my YouTube channel.

Last week I won a give-away on the ShinHan Arts Touch Twin Markers & More blog, and 24 Touch Twin markers arrived in my mailbox yesterday!! How exciting, as you know I'm a pen and pencil and marker and paint and ink junkie!
Since I had the day off today, I spent a little bit of time checking out the new pens. The redesigned ShinHan Touch Twin markers are an alcohol based marker that have a refillable barrel, and replaceable nibs. There are two styles of pens -- one with flexible brush & chisel nibs, and one with fine point & chisel nibs. I received 12 of each, in a variety of colors. I don't know any retail outlets with these pens right now, but I expect the price point to be less than current alcohol pens on the market.
UPDATE: Carpe Diem carries the sets and individual pens.
If you're itchin' to try alcohol based pens, these would be a nice way to get your toes wet. Or, even if you already have alcohol based pens in your coloring arsenal, these may provide you with an alternative for filling in any gaps in your color wheel! I'll post more about them as I learn more and get more experience with them.
The image was colored with the pens I received, exclusively. I didn't receive a blender pen, but knowing that other alcohol marker blender pens will work with the markers, I've got one on reserve. However, I did not use a blender pen in the coloring of the above image. And I've got video to prove it. *grin*
If you'd care to watch me color the above image, here's a video for you. This time, with tunes!
If you have trouble viewing the video here on the blog, you can find it on my YouTube channel.
On a personal note, THANK YOU for all the birthday notes, wishes, and virtual hugs you sent my way today! What a fun birthday I've had!!

To celebrate the holiday release for High Hopes Rubber Stamps, the designers are participating in a blog hop to showcase the new images. If you're participating in the hop, Andrea was before me and Kristine is next. If you didn't get here from Andrea's blog, you may want to pop on over to the High Hopes blog and start at the top.
Hopefully an added bonus, if you liked the Piggly Wiggly and Coloring a Snowman videos I've shared this week, I've got another treat for you! I filmed myself coloring this image, too! What can I say ... I was on a video roll! (Still no music on the videos... and the goat goober is still present as well. What fun!)
Enjoy this sped up look at me coloring this snowman.
And like always, if you have trouble viewing the video here on my blog, you can check it out here on my YouTube channel. Oh! And I wanted to mention too, if you want to get a BIGGER look at the videos, click on the little four arrow button at the far right of the video control bar -- just right of the YouTube button. That will make the video viewing window full screen. Then, to get back to regular viewing, press the ESC key on your keyboard (the ESC key is in the upper left corner of your keyboard, Dad!) *grin*
To continue on with the blog hop, shake yourself on over to Kristine's blog!

High Hopes Rubber Stamps is releasing new holiday images on Thursday of this week (tomorrow), and today the designers are giving you a look at them. I chose to use this cheery Christmas Joy snowman, dressed up in his finest star buttons.
If you liked the Piggly Wiggly coloring video I shared earlier this week, then I've got a treat for you! I filmed myself coloring this image, too! (Still no music on the videos...)
Enjoy!

I get asked frequently if I'll demonstrate how I color or paint the images I use on my projects. So I took a video of the process of me coloring this image, and making the card. The video doesn't have any sound (don't have music files to add to videos), so hum your own tune while you watch. *grin* Also, it's in 3x speed, so not to take up too much of your time!
If you have trouble viewing the video here on the blog, you can check it out here on my YouTube channel.
Enjoy!

When I posted the video of my workspace area, I had a request to share how I store and organize my stamps. Soooo, here you go!
If you have trouble viewing this video here on the blog, you can check it out here on my YouTube Channel.
The large containers I use for my Stampin' Up sets are Stampendous THICKER Stuftainers. They are organized by line art style, and theme. I also use the Stampendous THIN Stuftainers for images I have on cling mount (which isn't all that many).
I keep my Whipper Snapper cling mount sets (which are in their original product CD cases) stored in CD storage boxes, organized by theme. I bought the CD storage cases at Target several years ago on clearance. I'd love to have 1 more!
I keep clear sets and unmounted red rubber stamps in standard white 3-ring binders, organized by manufacturer. Because I am (or was) a designer for various companies, it's important for me to keep some company stamps all together (example: High Hopes, Crafty Secrets, Whipper Snapper Designs).
In the binders I use various sized page protector sleeves. The 2-pocket 5x7 sleeves,9-pocket baseball card sleeves, and the 3-pocket long sleeves are ULTRA-Pro products used for safely storing sports memorabilia. (Links below.) The full-sized sleeves are a heavy duty Avery sleeve. I use heavy duty clear 3M write-on transparency sheets to adhere the unmounted red rubber stamps using Alene's Tack It Over glue, and inexpensive white cardstock for stability in the pockets.
All of these items can be found on Amazon at the following links:
Stampendous Thicker Storage Solutions (5 containers)
Aleene's Tack-It Over & Over Glue
Ultra Pro 9-Pocket Trading Card Pages
Avery Diamond Clear Heavyweight Sheet Protectors
3M - Transparency Sheets (WRITE-ON)
Hope this is helpful!
Happy Sunday!!

Alright guys and gals, I've got a video to share with you. Nancy (hi Nancy!) emailed me first thing this morning and asked if I could show more of what I store around my workspace, and any additional info I cared to share. Instead of taking 30 still-photos, I thought I'd brave a short video! Hope this helps you, Nancy!
Honestly, I could have talked for an hour. Haaha! I rushed it into 11 minutes for you, and just hit some highlights.
Also, here is some info worth noting:
Copic Retail Display: I don't have a link for you; I actually ordered mine from a wholesaler. However, if you are in desperate need of one for yourself and cannot find one, I could potentially order one for you. Shipping is going to be heafty, so only serious inquiries, please. Also, I say potentially because it's not an item that is always "in stock", so your patience level must be high. If you want to try and find one online (expect the price to be high!), search for Empty Copic Sketch/Various Ink Retail Display. You might get lucky.
Colored Pencil Storage: This is a display unit I purchased (if I remember correctly) at a used retail fixture display store in Portland, Oregon years ago. I believe it was a point-of-purchase display rack that would have been used at a register counter for selling pens or pencils, or possibly even bookmarks, or small reader glasses. Turns out that it works perfect for my pencils! You might try searching eBay for Acrylic display and see what you find... I know I've seen similar items listed, but nothing exactly like the unit I have. Bummer too, because I'd love a second one!
Wooden Ink Pad Storage: Wall Unit Plus by http://www.SUINK.net
Martin Universal Design Mijello Airtight Leak-Proof Palettes: Find them on Amazon.
What else would you like to know? *grin*

For those who've sent me emails wanting more info how how to paint solid areas using craft/pigment ink pads ... here you go!
This is the first "tutorial" type of video I've ever done (so be kind!) ... hope it gets the job done! Enjoy!
