Happy Friday, and what a fun hop to be part of today! My Sweet Petunia and Unity Stamp Co. are hosting today's hop, and I have this clean and simple card to share with you.

I used the snail & mushroom and sentiment from the Happy Snail Mail May Unity Sentiment Kit 2017 from Unity Stamp Co., stamped on white card stock.

Using the MISTI, I was able to stamp the image a couple of times to get a perfectly stamped impression.

All colored up, this guy is sure to make even the most sluggish feel a little better!

Hey, Chick!

Yesterday I cleaned my room.... this evening, I made chicken cards! I ordered the newly released Hey, Chick stamp set from Stampin' Up. You had to know I would. Wee!

I stamped the images in black Memento ink and colored them with alcohol markers. The card on the left done in the warmer color tones is a standard 4.25x5.5" card, while the card on the right is a bit larger at 5x6.5".

These ladies are a welcomed addition to my flock of chicken stamps! Cluck cluck!

Impression Obsession: Spring Die Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the Impression Obsession 2016 Spring Die Blog Hop! For today's project I chose to create a garden themed card using the Farm Fresh clear stamp set and Farm Fresh coordinating die set.

I stamped the images in black Memento ink on white card stock, die cut them with the coordinating dies, and colored them with Touch Twin markers. I added a twine bow, topped with a cute brown button threaded with hemp twine, and a cute little "have a happy day" tag.

Impression Obsession: Easter Fun

A new challenge is being shared today on the Impression Obsession Blog, and I hope you join the fun! The challenge is Easter Fun! Pull out your Impression Obsession stamps and/or dies, and join us!

To create my card I die cut the Bunny with Egg die set from white and various printed patterned papers. I added color to the bunny images with ShinHan Touch Twin markers. I added lots of light green Small Grass and a few dark green Pine Sprigs to complete this simple Easter scene. I added faux stitching lines around the edges of the panel using my seamstress tracing wheel.

Impression Obsession: Friends Forever

A new challenge is being shared today on the Impression Obsession Blog, and I hope you join the fun! The challenge is Friends Forever! Pull out your Impression Obsession stamps and/or dies, and join us!

To create my card I stamped the Double Love Couch onto cream colored card stock and colored the image with Touch Twin markers. I added Stickles glitter glue to the hearts and flowers on the pillows for sparkle and shine. I used designer paper to create faux carpet and wallpaper to create a setting for the couch. For a final touch, I added a cute pink button topped with a cream colored bow to the front of the card. Sit next to me my friend, and tell me all your secrets!

Happy Hens

Happy Hens make Anna happy! When I saw the recently released Happy Hens stamp and coordinating die set, illustrated by my friend Danielle for Taylored Expressions, it was cluckin' love at first sight, I tell you! Love at FIRST SIGHT! I made absolutely certain that I participated in their hop so I could see all the fantastic samples made by the design team. Imagine my delight when I found out I'd won the set during their blog hop and weekly give away! Weeeee!!! I received the set in the mail this week and couldn't wait to stamp out these little ladies and color up some new chickie friends!

A big thank you to Taylored Expressions for the prize package of the stamp and coordinating dies, and to Danielle too, for drawing such a fun set that was clearly meant to be mine! *grin!*

I'm going to put some serious miles on these stamps! I may just have to get a backup ... is that weird!?

Impression Obsession: Flower Power

A new challenge is being shared today on the Impression Obsession Blog, and I hope you join the fun! The challenge is Flower Power! Pull out your Impression Obsession stamps and/or dies, and join us!

To create my card I die cut the Small Poinsettia die set several times from various colors of colored card stock. I also die cut a couple of houses using the Town Builder die set from cream card stock and hills using the Hill Landscape Layers die set to create a small scene. I set the entire scene on a cream card stock card topped with a cute printed quilt designer paper. I adhered the small poinsettia flowers in layers to create a pretty blossoming garden. I added some pretty gems for lots of sparkle and shine! For a final touch, I added a cream colored bow to the front of the card.

Impression Obsession: Spring Release Designer Hop Day 5

Welcome to day 5 (of 5) of the Impression Obsession Spring Release Designer Blog Hop!

To create my card for today's share, I used Hope Angel image stamped in black Memento ink on white card stock. I colored the stamped image with ShinHan Touch Twin markers in soft colors of green with a cute little pink heart tucked in her dress pocket. I added sparkly Diamond Stickles glitter for lots of sparkle and shine. Behind a rusty tin star, I added some Pine Sprig die cuts pieces and a tea dyed seam binding bow.

To create my card for today's share, I used Gardening Guardian Angel image stamped in black Memento ink on white card stock. I colored the stamped image with ShinHan Touch Twin markers in soft pinks and blue tones (in honor of the 2016 colors of the year!), and added sparkly Diamond Stickles glitter for lots of sparkle and shine. How do you like that layout! A whimsical stack of small gingham papers on top of a cute floral print seemed like the perfect companion for such a cute image!

Mix-Ability Challenge: White Wash!

I am hosting this week's Mix-Ability Challenge in the challenge forum at SplitCoastStampers! The challenge is called White Wash! (Mix136)Showcase your focal point with lots of white space. You can leave white areas of your paper untouched, or create white space over other colors w/ white paint, white ink, or gesso.

To create my card, I stamped Impression Obsession's Pumpkin Fence image in black Memento ink. I colored the image with a combination of ShinHan Touch Twin markers and Prismacolor colored pencils. I added a thin wash of white craft ink around the image and on the fence panels to give a bit of a glow to the scene. I used the stamp called Barcode inked with various shades of brown Distress Inks to stamp visual texture around the image panel and card base.

The idea behind the Mix-Ability Challenge is to make mixed media simple and approachable, and to let you experiment using things you already have. Each Friday a new challenge is hosted, but there is no time limit, so you can participate whenever you'd like on each challenge. Join us, won't you!?

Crazy 4 Challenges: August Guest Designer Week 3

Hello, hello!! I'm excited to be the August Guest Designer for Crazy 4 Challenges, a group of friends that host weekly challenges on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

This week we're making cards based on this sketch. It's a great sketch, and I hope you join us!

My card is 4.25" square, and features an adorable dog image from Stamps By Judith & Heather (G-135-HK). I bought it at a stamp/scrap convention, so if you happen by their booth at a show, check out their fun dog (and other critter) images! The sentiment is from an older (2007) Stampin' Up! wood mount set, and I'm sorry but I don't recall the name of the set. It's a cutie, though!

I stamped the dog in black Memento ink and colored him up with ShinHan Touch Twin markers. I die cut the oval shapes with the Deckled Oval, and Scalloped Oval dies from Spellbinders. The banners I used for the sentiment are double ended fishtail banners from MFT. The designer papers are from October Afternoon (a personal favorite!), and the white card base is from Neenah. The self-adhesive gems I used are from Studio G.

Impression Obsession: Designer Hop Day 2

Impression Obsession: Designer Hop Day 1

Mix-Ability Challenge: Doodley-dooo!

I am hosting this week's Mix-Ability Challenge in the challenge forum at SplitCoastStampers! The challenge is called Doodley-dooo! (Mix128) The challenge calls for you to add your own doodles to your project.

I stamped the bee, flower, and sentiment using the You Make Me Happy cling mount set from Whipper Snapper Designs, and drew in the chicken using a Sakura Micron pen. I also drew the lines at the top and bottom of the image panel. Quick and easy!

The idea behind the Mix-Ability Challenge is to make mixed media simple and approachable, and to let you experiment using things you already have. Each Friday a new challenge is hosted, but there is no time limit, so you can participate whenever you'd like on each challenge. Join us, won't you!?

Mix-Ability Challenge: First Day of Spring!

I am hosting this week's Mix-Ability Challenge in the challenge forum at SplitCoastStampers! The challenge is called First Day of Spring! (Mix112) The challenge calls for you to create a project using spring-like colors or images.

To create my card, I used Lola! She's one of my Whipper Snapper Designs stamps, all dressed up for spring! I stamped Lola in black Memento ink, colored her up with ShinHan Touch Twin markers and further enhanced the image with a white gel pen and colored pencils.

The idea behind the Mix-Ability Challenge is to make mixed media simple and approachable, and to let you experiment using things you already have. Each Friday a new challenge is hosted, but there is no time limit, so you can participate whenever you'd like on each challenge. Join us, won't you!?

Impression Obsession: Happy Flowers

I added cute little *happy* shabby roses to the apron, and added Stickles glitter glue for sparkle and shine.

Mix-Ability Challenge: Pick a Color, Any Color!

I am hosting this week's Mix-Ability Challenge in the challenge forum at SplitCoastStampers! The challenge is called Pick a Color, Any Color! (Mix104) The challenge calls for you to create a monochromatic project, using the color of your choice.

To create my card, I created a watercolor wash on 140lb watercolor paper, stamped Gertie (unknown manufacturer) in black StazOn ink, and further enhanced the image with alcohol markers and more watercolor wash techniques. I added a fun black frame using the Impression Obsession Rectangles 6-in-1 die set, and finally added a glittery puffy heart in honor of the upcoming Valentine holiday.

Impression Obsession: Sparkle & Shine

A new challenge is being shared today on the Impression Obsession Blog, and I hope you join the fun! The challenge is Sparkle & Shine! Pull out your Impression Obsession stamps and/or dies, and join us! I decided to go for subtle sparkle & shine on this project, since I was a little over the top with the sparkle for the last challenge. Ha!

I chose to use Cozy Chair, Brush Hearts, and a sentiment from the Thanks Sentiments clear set to create my card. The image is stamped in black Memento ink and colored with ShinHan Touch Twin markers. I added Stardust Stickles glitter to the flowers next to the chair... and that's it! Wow! How is that for subtle!

The card I'm sharing today features Zinnia Medium (C9708) and Zinnia Large (D9707). The images are stamped in black Memento ink and colored with ShinHan Touch Twin markers. The sentiment, Expect Miracles (C13305), is stamped in Black StazOn ink. I used pieces of the Flourish die to embellish the Zinnia flowers. The flowers are glittered up with Stardust Stickles glitter glue, too. Ooooh, sparkles!

Impression Obsession: Holiday Greetings

A new challenge is being shared today on the Impression Obsession Blog, and I hope you join the fun! The challenge is Holiday Greetings! Pull out your Impression Obsession stamps and/or dies, and join us!

To make my card I used the adorable Happy Snowman image. I colored her up with ShinHan Touch Twin markers in some non-traditional colors. I chose a pretty peach colored paper from my stash, and embellished the card with two layered die cut snowflakes from the Small Snowflake Set, topped with a crystal gem.

Impression Obsession: Beautiful Backgrounds

For my card, I chose to use the newly released Rose Tin image. I stamped the image in black Memento Ink, and colored the image with ShinHan Touch Twin markers. I used French Handwriting to create visual interest to the background, lightly stamping the text over the entire panel. Finally, I stamped With Love at the bottom of the card in black ink.

High Hopes Challenge: Ice or Snow

It's Tuesday, and time for a new High Hopes blog challenge! The current High Hopes challenge is called Ice or Snow.

I chose to use the new Penguin's Tree image for my card. I stamped the image on Neenah cardstock using Memento ink and colored it with ShinHan Touch Twin markers. And look at the cute little embossed holly and bow! I made that embellishment with the Sizzix Holly Embosslit. Fun!

High Hopes Sneak Peek!

High Hopes has a wonderful image release taking place on Wednesday, and the designers are doing a few sneak peeks this week using the new images. For today's project, I used Santa's Gift to create this holiday card.

I created the fun frame on this card using the newly released Enchanted framelits die, from the Sizzix Prima line. Such a fun, elegant set of dies!
