My tag features Deer Snowglobe and one of the hens from the Roosters and Chickens die set. I removed the deer from the die cut image, and replaced him with that adorable little hen. Fun!

I started by creating a tag base with a layer of red card stock using Tag with Capped Top. This tag set comes with the decorative top, which I cut from white card stock. The beautiful red textured card stock has been in my stash forEVER!
I used the Buckle die to cut a sparkly gold buckle, and a simple strip of black card stock to create Santa’s belt. So cute, and so quick & easy!

The tag I’m sharing today is made with a personal favorite die set of mine, Golden Retriever. I think he’s the perfect addition to the dog series of dies, and I can’t wait to see all the fun things people make! I cut all the shapes from watercolor paper, and painted them up with various “golden retriever” colored watercolor pigments. I love him! The bone in his mouth is from the Dish and Bowl die set. A must have for dog lovers!
The tag base I used is Tag with Capped Top, and a mix and match sentiment from Christmas Words, a great sentiment set for your holiday projects.

For my project I made a card using Snowman Decorating Tree. He is stamped on watercolor paper and painted with water based pigments. I die cut the painted image with one of the Wacky Stitched Circles dies, and added a die cut button from the Button Card die set for embellishment.

Fill a mug with hot tea, coffee, cocoa or cider, and I’m happy! Give me crafty time too, and oooooh goodie!
The background of the card is made with Large Frame with the frame from Crazy Stitched Set layered on top, cut from different patterned papers. The Tea & Cocoa mug is cut from heavyweight white cardstock and patterned paper, topped with cream cut from white wool felt. I just love the added stitching detail on the mug! I added a cute little red heart cut from wool felt, as well.
I dressed the mug up with a die cut button and some holly leaves. The button is from the Sewing Accessories die set, the holly is from the Primitive Candy Cane & Holly die set, and the little candy cane stuck in the whipped cream was made with the candy cane included in the Stocking die set. Once the card was finished, I gave it a quick spray with glitter spray, for lots of sparkle and shine!
Frame and mug printed papers are from Authentique’s Jingle line. Super cute! The green paper I used for the holly is from an American Crafts 6x6, but I don’t recall the series name. It was a scrap, put to good use.
Today is World Cardmaking Day, and I’ve got this little cutie to share with you. Dressed in a candy maker’s dress, she’s ready to deliver sweets and happiness to someone special.
The background of the card is made with Large Frame, cut from two different patterned papers. The ginger girl is cut from kraft cardstock and inked for a bit of flavor, using the Primitive Gingerbread die set. Her dress is from the Gingerbread Accessories die set. The candy canes are made from the accessories included in the Stocking die set. All printed papers are from Authentique’s Jingle line. Super cute!

The Impression Obsession design team is featuring dies as the main focus for our inspiration projects today. I made a square card using Quilted Bell. I cut the die several times - once from black cardstock, once from gold glitter cardstock, and from several pieces of printed paper.
I selected the printed papers I wanted to use in each area, inked the edges a smidge, and adhered them into place. Just like putting together a puzzle!

The project I made for the challenge uses several Impression Obsession products. This embellishment is made with the Large Snowman, Snowman Accessories, and one of the Two Kitties.
I cut the shapes from thin foam board. The kitty and accessories are colored with markers and their edges are lightly inked with brown ink. The snowman is also cut from thin foam board. I folksied (going with it) him up with brown ink, and added a bit of water splashes for visual texture. I stamped French Script over his body, for even more visual texture! I colored his eyes, nose, and arms with markers and adhered them in place.

Bonus inspiration share, inspired by two projects I made several years ago that remain my most pinned projects on Pinterest (links below). This tag is made with the Large Snowman and Snowman Accessories die sets from Impression Obsession.
I die cut the snowman from a piece of heavyweight cardstock, and a piece of music paper designer patterned paper and adhered them together. I inked the edges a bit with brown ink. I die cut the accessories from heavyweight cardstock and colored the pieces with markers. I cut the hat from black glitter cardstock, for a bit of pizzazz!

I’m excited! It’s Winter Die Release time for Impression Obsession, and that means I have new dies to share with you!
I hope you enjoy the new dies in this release, welcome some of them into your stash, and make all kinds of wonderful crafty creations with them. Impression Obsession’s dies are made in the USA with high-quality US steel, and designed by me!
Today is the first day of a two day Winter Die Release Celebration, and I hope you enjoy the inspiration! All of the new dies you see on our celebration posts today and tomorrow are available now on the Impression Obsession website.
The first project I am sharing features two dies from the release. Two Folk Deer (DIE904-O) and Aspen & Pine Forest (DIE879-YY). I cut Aspen & Pine Forest from a piece of hot press watercolor paper, and inked the die cut image with various colors of brown and green inks.
I also cut Two Folk Deer and their accessory pieces from hot press watercolor paper and inked the layers a bit. I added antlers to the fella, and a bell to the doe. After I inked up a base layer of hot press watercolor paper with some blue and turquoise inks, I sprinkled the inked layer with water and dabbed up the water droplets. That lifted a bit of the color, leaving a pretty, mottled background. I adhered the Aspen & Pine Forest over the blue background, and adhered the deer in place. I love it! The Aspen & Pine Forest would be so pretty done with glitter for sparkle and shine!
The next project I’m sharing features Chunky Candle (DIE881-L), Primitive Snowflakes (DIE893-YY), the holly from Primitive Candy Cane & Holly (DIE894-U), a button from Button Card (DIE853-V), and Large Frame (DIE860-WW). To create the candle, I die cut all of the pieces of the candle from heavyweight white cardstock. I colored the pieces with alcohol markers and inked the edges to add a bit with a warm, brown ink. I added one of the snowflakes from Primitive Snowflakes as a decorative element to the candle. I added a bit of glitter glue to the flame of the candle.
The holly is cut from two colors of green cardstock and the edges were inked a bit with brown ink. I cut one of the small buttons from the Button Card set, threaded it with twine, and adhered it in place. The background of the card is framed with the Large Frame die. I really love the Large Frame die. I’ve seen it used on a lot of projects made by others, and it always looks terrific — a must have!

The Impression Obsession design team is featuring dies as the main focus for our inspiration projects today. I made a gift card/tag using Large Pinecone. The set comes with two dies - the solid base layer, and the textured top layer. I cut the solid base layer twice, from brown cardstock. I adhered the together at the top, so they fold open like a top folding card. I then cut the textured top layer from a lighter brown cardstock, and a piece of brown foam, and adhered them to the card base. I dressed up the pinecone with several pieces of Pine Pair branches, a pretty red ribbon, hemp twine, and a silver jingle bell.

Impression Obsession snuck this cutie into the Fall die release, and I’m so glad! I couldn’t wait to create with this little guy. I will be making lots of holiday tags with him this year.
I die cut Deer (DIE856-Y) from heavy weight cream cardstock and colored him up with a combination of alcohol markers and inks. He’s quick and easy to assemble, and the horns are an optional add-on. The tag is also a new release, called Stitched Tag #2 (DIE874-Y) and I love the shape and layer accessories, which are the curved banner and the fishtail hole reinforcer. I used a foliage piece from Stitched Floral Bouquet (DIE806-ZZ) for an added accent.

I created a holiday gift tag for today’s challenge. On the base of the tag I stamped French Script (H9396) in brown ink. I rubbed a bit more brown ink on the tag to grunge it up a bit. The die cut deer is from the Deer Frame die (DIE737-YY). I removed the outer frame portion of the cut shape so I could use just the deer on my tag. I inked up the die cut shape and adhered him to my tag base. I dressed him up with some leaf sprigs from the Stitched Flower Bouquet set (DIE806-ZZ), itty bitty pine cones, red berries, and a hemp twine bow. I stamped Merry Christmas from the Holiday Icons (CL980) set on a Pinked Stitched Sentiment Banner (DIE814-U) and tucked the banner in place. This will make a nice addition to a gift this year!

I’m hosting this week’s Mix-Ability challenge on SplitCoastStampers. The theme of this week’s challenge is A Jolly Snowman. Please join us this week for a little mix-ability fun!
I made a tag that features the Snowman die set from Impression Obsession. On a tag base, I added my assembled snowman who’s cut from card stock and wool felt, colored with distress ink, alcohol markers, and glitter glue added for sparkle. I added a twine string, hemp bow, and a couple of small rusty bells.
I love him!
I decided to make some spiced tea and cocoa mix gift jars this year for some special friends. I love these kinds of projects! This isn’t the first time I’ve shared this type of project. You’ll find more inspiration at these links for spice tea gift jars, another cute jar here, and some festive cocoa jars.
The recipe I use for the spiced tea mix is one that my Mom gave me.
1 Cup Instant Tea (unsweetened)
2 Cups Tang
1 Cup Lemonade Mix (Countrytime, etc)
1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl or large sealing bag; mix well.
Serve 2 TBS mix in a mug of hot water. Mmmmmm, good!
Some people use lemon flavored tea mix instead of individual tea and lemonade mix, but I don't care for lemon flavored tea mixes, so I stick with Mom's recipe. Some recipes call for added sugar as well, but I don’t find it necessary.

To create this week’s project I used the Parchwork Holly die set and Small Poinsettia die set to create a layered holiday floral embellishment for the center of a ribbon bow tied around two large vintage inspired candy cane, to go with my gift of a handmade felt ornament. I love that dies can be used to die cut wool felt, too! Die cut shapes are wonderful to use on handmade felt ornaments!

The project I created for today's challenge is a pretty packaged gift card. I tucked a coffee shop card into a small glassine bag and embellished the bag with a gold glittered banner topped with a die cut Merry Christmas sentiment and layered poinsettia flower made using various colors of card stock and the Lg. Poinsettia die set. The gold center of the flower is actually one of the holly berries, from the Patchwork Holly die set. Handy that it was on my desk, left over from a previous project!

I'm delighted to be today's guest designer participating in the 12 Days of Christmas Tags with a Feminine Twist challenge, hosted by Ellen Hutson, LLC. For 12 days, an EH designer and a guest are sharing tags made using a specific theme. Today is Day 11, and I couldn't be happier to be sharing a couple of tags I designed with Impression Obsession product and today's theme of Country Christmas with long-time friend, Kittie Caracciolo!

For my first tag, I die cut Layered Tree from Classic Cream and Caramel Apple card stock. Using Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink, I stamped the cream colored tree with the French Script stamp. I inked the edges of the die cuts with the same Distress Ink, and added spritzes of mica spray to add a bit of sparkle, and blur the ink of the script stamp impression.
I die cut the star from the Christmas Shaped Tags die set from gold glitter paper, and added it to the top of my tree with twine and a pretty red button. Finally, I die cut Patchwork Holly from the same card stock colors and adhered the holly leaves to the bow tied around the top of my wrapped gift.
I couldn't complete the Country Christmas theme without throwing in a chicken, so here is a bonus tag design for you!
To create my Chicken Snow Globe tag, I started by die cutting the Deer Snow Globe and one of the chickens from the Roosters and Chickens die set from blue card stock. The snow globe design actually features a deer in the center, so I snipped the deer from the die cut shape and adhered the blue card stock die cut shape to white glitter paper. I used sharp scissors to cut around the die cut to leave the white glitter paper as the back layer of the ta. Finally, I adhered the chicken in place with foam adhesive.
I also die cut holly leaves using the Patchwork Holly die set, and added the tag to my package with twine and pretty ribbon.

Hello December! A new challenge is being shared today on the Impression Obsession Blog, and I hope you join the fun! The challenge is Quick Christmas Cards! Pull out your Impression Obsession stamps and/or dies, and join us!
The card I created for today's hop uses the Sleigh Scene (DIE471-V die. I cut the image out of white card stock and blue snowflake designer paper. I adhered glitter paper behind the negative space of the blue snowflake designer paper and adhered the white die cut shape over top of the white glitter paper. I mounted the layers to a white panel of card stock, and then adhered the entire front to a white card base. As a quick and easy embellishment, I added a store-bought bow to the bottom center of the card front.

Welcome to Day 3 of 3, of the Impression Obsession Fall/Winter Die Blog Hop! I created a tag for today, using Deer Snowglobe and Patchwork Holly. I die cut the snowglobe from silver paper, and again from blue cardstock that was already adhered to watercolor paper.
Since the silver layer was die cut from a single sheet, it was easy to remove the cut shape from the paper. Since the blue cardstock was adhered to watercolor paper, the outer edge of the die cut through, but the intricate details of the die did not cut all the way through, making a perfect layering "backing" for my tag. I used markers to add a gradient to the blue cardstock and then adhered the silver die cut shapes in place. A button and twine were used to accent to die cut holly leaves, and a twine tie was added to the top. This is a quick and beautiful project that will certainly come in handy for holiday gift wrapping!

Welcome to Day 2 of 3, of the Impression Obsession Fall/Winter Die Blog Hop! I created a fun pencil treat packet, using Bat with Sign and Number Set. I created a small open topped box from purple colored cardstock, and filled it with Halloween themed pencils. I adhered the bat with googlie eyes, Boo! sign, and numbers to the front of the box.
Some silver holiday ribbon seemed like the perfect edge for the top of the box. This is a quick and easy project that will certainly come in handy for trick-or-treaters!

Welcome to Day 1 of 3, of the Impression Obsession Fall/Winter Die Blog Hop! I created a tag for today, using Mitten and Patchwork Holly. I simply die cut the mitten from an oatmeal colored cardstock, and holly leaves from a nice sage colored cardstock. I inked the edges of all the pieces with brown Distress Ink, and adhered them to a simple blue folded tag. A button and twine were used to adhere the tie. This is a quick and easy project that will certainly come in handy for holiday gift wrapping!

Welcome to day 2 (of 2) of the Impression Obsession Fall Designer Die Hop! We are sharing projects made with beautiful new dies, and there will be gift certificates given away! Yay!
For my card, I chose to use the Lg Poinsettia Set. I die cut the flowers out of a variety of teal card stock, as well as sweater and wood grain patterned paper. I really love how this die has vein detail that embosses into the card stock during the die cutting process. I added a mother of pearl button to the center of the layered flower, and added the Merry Christmas sentiment to a panel across the bottom of the card.

For my card, I chose to use the cute Snowman Builder along with the sentiment Merry Christmas. I stamped the image in black Memento ink on kraft colored cardstock and colored it with ShinHan Touch Twin markers. This is a single layer card - easy on the postage for mailing!

I die cut several Holly Leaf Cluster leaves for her hat and to embellish the sentiment, and added cute little red gems for the berries.

The single most rewarding result of writing this blog is the people I've gotten to know through comments, emails, and crafty events (virtual and actual). Some of you have been reading my blog for years, and though we've never met, I consider you wonderful friends.
This beyond-adorable Christmas Goose wool felt ornament was a gift, handmade by long-time blog reader, and friend, Troy. I just *had* to share it with you!! In her letter to me she said she found the pattern in an old book and knew it was the perfect gift to make and share with me. How delightful! And how LUCKY for me!! This wool felt goose is truly remarkable.
Troy, your hand work is beautiful. Perfect little stitches, beads, and the flower detail is perfection.
I love, love, LOVE my new little goose, and look forward to her blessing our home for many years to come! THANK YOU!

I always think of consumables when I think of last minute gifts. It's quick and easy to whip up a batch of homemade cookies or snack mix. For my treat, I decided on a fresh batch of Puppy Chow! Great for not only holiday gift giving, but for any occasion!
I made a cute tag to embellish my bag of Puppy Chow. I used the recently released Christmas Tags, Christmas Icons, and Holly Leaf Cluster dies. It was easy to dress things up by simply using glittered cardstock for the bell. Oooooh, sparkles!

To make my card I used the beautiful Snowy Branch Cardinal image. I stamped the image on watercolor paper in black StazOn ink, and painted him with various colors of Distress Ink. I chose a pretty designer paper from my stash. I embellished the card with layers of die cut pine branches from the Pine Sprig Cluster die set, topped with a pinecone button. Oh! And I added a pretty white cyrstal glitter to the patches of snow caught on the tree branch. Oooooh, sparkles!

Welcome to the CardMaker and Impression Obsession Blog Hop!
Today the CardMaker Designers and the Impression Obsession Designers will be showing you some wonderful holiday projects featuring stamps and dies from Impression Obsession!
To create my frosty card, I used the Tree Frame die along with the snowman from the Christmas Icons die set. I cut the shapes from glitter paper, and added a hand cut snowy hill to complete my scene. To give some color to the snowman, I used a marker to color orange and black areas to a scrap piece of paper, and adhered it behind the die cut snowman.

Pull out your Sizzix dies, and get crafty -- I'll show you how to make these Christmas cuties!
I used the Owl #2 and Frog #2 Bigz dies and put a Christmas spin on things for some cute non-traditional Christmas ornaments.
I gathered up some of my favorite supplies, including wool felt, embroidery floss, buttons, ribbon, and pinecones.
Bigz dies cut felt easily! Sandwich the die and felt between two cutting plates, and run it through your Sizzix BigShot.
Hand stitch your felt pieces together, embellishing with pretty things as you go! It's easy to make one-of-a-kind ornaments using the same die and just changing up your embellishments and colors.
I encourage you to stretch your crafting supplies by using dies you wouldn't normally think of as "holiday" dies when crafting for the holidays. I think everyone needs a Christmas frog on their tree, don't you!?
The owls were fun and easy to create.
