Impression Obsession: Focus on Dies

The Impression Obsession design team is featuring dies as the main focus for our inspiration projects today.

I started by creating a tag base with a layer of red card stock using Tag with Capped Top. This tag set comes with the decorative top, which I cut from white card stock. The beautiful red textured card stock has been in my stash forEVER!

I used the Buckle die to cut a sparkly gold buckle, and a simple strip of black card stock to create Santa’s belt. So cute, and so quick & easy!

Impression Obsession: Old is New

Today is an “old is new” day for the Impression Obsession team, where we feature older products in the Impression Obsession catalog. We hope you're inspired!

I used Rooster on Fence, Chicken Wire Cover-a-Card, and Grunge Cover-a-Card to create this card. The rooster image was stamped on watercolor paper and colored with watercolor pigments in a subtle color palette. I stamped the Chicken Wire and Grunge Cover-a-Card images on the blue/green layer, for some visual interest. The cute little button was made with my Half Inch Button die set, and tied with a twine bow.

Impression Obsession: Slim Scenes Hop Day 2

Good day, friends! Today is the second day of the Impression Obsession Slim Scenes Stamp Release Hop. Each day (October 15th & 16th) at 6:00am EST you can find a list of participating designers on the Impression Obsession Blog.

For my card today, I am featuring Norway Spruce, Winter Greetings, and Tree Line Layers. I stamped Norway Spruce in several colors of green and brown ink. I stamped the Tree Line Layers in a smokey blue ink, with the ink concentrated towards the top of the tree line. I stamped the Winter Greeting in black ink, after adding a few light layers of ink to create snow below the tree. Finally, I added a few die cut birds, cut from an antique gold glitter card stock. I really love the vintage look of this card. So fun!

For my card today, I am featuring Town and Bare Treeline Duo. I stamped the town in Black Hybrid Ink and colored the image with alcohol markers.

I stamped the treeline in a brown distress ink, fuzzed the lines a bit with water, and added Stickles for a bit of sparkle and shine.

Impression Obsession: Witch Tag

The Impression Obsession design team is featuring dies as the main focus for our inspiration projects today.

I started by creating a tag base with a layer of black card stock and patterned paper using Stitched Tag. This tag set comes with the decorative top, which I cut from black glitter card stock.

I created some witch legs using the Boots and Stockings die set. I colored her stockings with markers, and cut her shoes from black glitter card stock. 

I created her skirt by spritzing some patterned paper with water, shaping it into a skirt, and adhering it over top of the legs. A quick bow serves as a belt, and I added a small Spider Web cut from white glitter paper, for some extra sparkle and shine.

Impression Obsession: You’re a Hoot

A new challenge is being shared today on the Impression Obsession Blog, and I hope you join the fun! This week’s challenge is You’re a Hoot (owls or other birds), which is quite timely — I’m listening to a screech owl outside in a tree as I write this post.

 

Both of my cards feature the Owl Frame, which happens to be on sale this week! It’s the perfect time to pick one up. This is a magnificent die design that’s so easy to use!
