A new challenge is being shared today on the Impression Obsession Blog, and I hope you join the fun! This week’s challenge is Yellow & Blue. Pull out your Impression Obsession stamps and/or dies, and join us!
The card I created for the challenge uses Peony Set (WP835). I stamped the peony images on watercolor paper in VersaMark ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I painted the images with QOR watercolors. I used Cerulean blue and two yellow pigment colors, and combined the same colors to create the green for the leaves. I added some stamped text to the background using Navy IO Hybrid ink and French Poem (H9336) for some visual interest. I added a bit of Navy IO Hybrid ink to the background as well, just to darken the upper right corner a bit.
Find all the details on how to enter this week's challenge on the Impression Obsession Blog. I hope you join us!
So gorgeous! I never think of using background stamps in little ways like that.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Really impressed with your painting prowess and those green leaves. Using the navy ink to darken the upper corner sends this card over the top. Haven't clear embossed and watercolored in awhile and I'm thinking I need to do that again one of these days -- maybe on the weekend if the Weatherpeople aren't telling tales and it's going to be 80ish and rain for both days.
