A follower of my illustration facebook page (hi, Lynne!) left me a note today. Her message reminded me of the Wildflower Silhouette Cling Mount stamp set I designed for Whipper Snapper, so I thought I'd share this card!
One of the flower images in the set is this Texas bluebonnet, a wildflower that grows gangbusters across the state of Texas, and is in fact the state flower. The bluebonnets have just started to bloom here -- we haven't had as much rain in our area as other areas, which seems to have set spring back a bit for us.
The bluebonnet stamp included in the set is a solid image stamp. I colored the stamp with markers, spritzed it with water, and then stamped it on my paper a couple of times to get a first and second impression using the same ink. Some wild and crazy stitching seemed fitting for this card.
And, I am HAPPY to see that FRIDAY is just around the bend! Bring on the weekend!

This is lovely Anna! Happy weekend!

I always thought the yellow rose was Texas state flower...seems that when I was young we sang a song about the yellow rose of Texas...lol...might just have been something else...after all I am getting old! Your stamp set is beautiful...as is your card. Enjoy your weekend,

I am very pleased to see you using some more of your talent for offset framing in this beautiful piece of artwork. And to think it's a card not an 18 x 20 in canvas! I think more water color paintings should be considered. Possibly the across the road longhorns and a shot of Bluebonnets. Lovely,
