I have a quick and easy gift wrap for Valentine's Day to share with you today. I created a heart-filled jar tag for a bag of yummy chocolates using the recently released Hugs and Kisses stamp set, and coordinating jar die from Taylored Expressions.
I colored the image with markers, then gave the entire jar a good dose
of spray adhesive and added a beautiful layer of glitter over the entire
tag. I love love LOVE this technique!
Supplies
Stamps: Taylored Expressions Hugs & Kisses
Dies: Taylored Expressions Hugs & Kisses Jar
Ink: Memento Brown
Paper: Neenah, BoBunny
Other: ShinHan Touch Twin markers, bakers twine, red grosgrain ribbon, button, string, paper doily, Martha Stewart Crystal Glitter, Aleene's Spray Adhesive, glassine bag
Hello, Anna!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work and wonderful life on the farm. I especially love your animal posts, lol.
Regarding your spray adhesive and glitter technique, could you show us how you do this, or a tutorial of sorts? I looked up Alene's spray adhesive, but, alas, there are a few to choose from, and I don't know which you use. I need more specific info, sorry...Again, thanks for your wonderful sharing spirit and lovely works of art!

Your packaging is always over the top (pun intended)! Love the doily, the wide ribbon, the baker's twine, the button, the glittery tag. Total cuteness!

Hi Robin!
I like using spray adhesive because I can can get a thinner, more even application of glitter when I want it all over. I use my finger to burnish the glitter into the adhesive and tap off any excess. Sure, youll still get some fall-out when youre done, but not like you do if you dont press the glitter into the adhesive.
Cluck, cluck!

Ok, I have to get out my spray adhesive and give that a try. So cute. Does the spray adhesive help the glitter "stick" better than regular adhesive? I love the look of glitter (and must have 40 jars of the stuff) but get anoyed at all the glitter that ends up everwhere after the card is dry! Have a great weekend. Hugs to you and all your critters. Robin
