It was an exciting day on the farm today, as Alan and I got to watch Lucy deliver her baby. So fun! I will spare you the graphic photos. *grin*
Darcy's calf was quite interested in what was going on. We are certain these two will become fast friends. It was a perfect day for delivery. Yesterday's rain cooled the air. Though a bit windy, the afternoon sun was finding it's way through the remaining clouds.
The name Little Moo comes from a young blog reader named Chris who reads the blog with his mom. He LOVES cows, and suggested that "Little Moo" would be the perfect name for Lucy's baby. We quite agree! Little Moo she is!
First time standing, but a bit wobbly yet. She'll be racing circles around the barnyard in no time!
Baaaaad Boxcar Betty was being unsocial, laying in the bunk feeder with her back to the action.
Callio-Pea napped in the other end of the bunk feeder. Typical afternoon goat activity.
With the activity on the farm today, Alan and I didn't make it to the gun show. Another time, I imagine.
Hope you had a super weekend!
