Pencil "treats" are by no means an idea original idea. But they're cute as can be, so I decided to make some for some lucky kiddos! I picked up some halloween themed pencils at Target last weekend. They had several variety in the dollar bins at the front of the store, but I liked the ones they had in the holiday section of the store better.
I chose a couple different images to decorate the front of the pencil wraps. I used Scardy Cat from Whipper Snapper, and Pumpkin Treat from High Hopes. The images are stamped on cream colored cardstock, colored with markers, adhered to a black scallop, then adhered to the pencil wrap. I even added glitter. Ooooh la laaa!
They're so cute, I wish I was getting these for Halloween!
If you want the dimentions of the boxes, let me know and I'll whip up a cut and score diagram for you.
UPDATE: You will find the template I made for these here: Pencil Treat Box Template.
This is such a great idea! My kids' school just recently said we can no longer celebrate birthdays by brining in cupcakes (due to food allergies at school). I was wanting to still do something special for Ryan's birthday next week. These would be a great idea!!

Those are really sweet. Thanks for the tutorial. I have a new little neighbor who might need one of those! And, wow, was that a great early b-day present. What fun that will be to fill - I would use it for displaying your wood stamps. Hugs.

Super cute and adorable. My "fav" has got to be the Kitty image though. You know (Once a "crazy" cat lady) always a Crazy Cat Lady!
