The photos I shared from the farm in Oregon reminded me of this little Farmer John garden tag I made before I left on my trip. I used scrap strips of paper from the Memorandum paper pad by Lily Bee Designs to create the tag, and added Farmer John to the tag using foam adhesive to give him a little "lift". I used twine that I use in the garden (to tie up tomatoes and cucumber vines), and I like the extra bit of rustic it adds to the project.
This tag will come in quite handy next spring, when hopefully I'll have something that actually IS fresh from the garden! *grin*
Welcome back from Oregon and sickdom, dear Anna. This tag looks as delish as all those fantastic produce pictures you lavished on our adoring eyes!! So glad you got to have a wonderful time with some of your "besties". Love all the scrappy papers and your sweet farmer John and that rustic garden twine. You bring beauty to the most basic elements!!

Hope you're feeling a bit better now.
And I sure do hope you have a fresh garden next year after the trials and tribulations of this one.
I can't remember if I said how much Farmer John reminds me of a little cloth-bodied doll my aunt brought back from Russia to my sister many, many years ago.

Love it! (I love all your tags - I think they're my favourite posts from you - though sometimes there's a pretty cute chicken posting.)

I am hoping and praying next year will be so much better for gardening in TX. The tag is perfect to tie onto a basket of fresh garden goodies. Have a super Saturday. Hugs...

Awesome tag! Would be great to tie around some of that excess squash! LOL! Oddly enough, the one thing I miss already is the Swiss Chard. I love a Swiss Omelet with feta and cheddar. Yummm! Tonight we get 8-12 inches of snow! Blech!
