I was working on my image of Billy the Kid this evening, and thought I'd do a comparison look of the two images ... one with no background to speak of, and one with an inked and stamped background. Pretty neat how a little ink can make such a difference! Oh, I also added a bit more shading to some areas of Billy's vest, chaps, and pant legs in the inked version...
Image colored with markers and colored pencils.
Ha! This guy cracks me up! :)

I'm sure this will meet with disapproval by the person about to be mentioned but he should be flattered by it. He looks like Nathan at about the time he grew 7inches in one year.....Ooooooowwww yup, it's true Farmgirl has a younger brother! This guy could be called Nathan da Kid..... it has a nice "ring" to it. He should be proud he's been published! Love, Dad

You should consider illustrating children's books.

Love how you do your sponged backgrounds--they're beautiful! Billy's ten-gallon hat is a winner, and the sunflowers he's carrying for his lady friend are perfect.

So cute! All your images are fun. I love cowboys. Both images are cool but do like the inked version best. Beautiful coloring as always.

This cowboy is adorable! I have an Amuse stamp that says "Howdy Partner" and would look adorable with your cowboy.

I LOVE this!! I love all things Cowboy and love it when you do something with western images. This is too fun. I love both images but you are right (of course) a little ink can go a long way. Thanks for sharing!
