I'm sad that I didn't get a chance to participate in this fun challenge. I've been thinking that I'll do some of the challenges after-the-fact, and this is one of them. Because, you know, rural is what it's all about! The star, twine, and button match Tex perfectly. Your coloring is yummy, as always.

Cute card!!! I wonder what Shorty (that is your rooster's name?) would look like in a ten-gallon hat? I had to laugh when you said its supposed to be hot, hot, hot... I had heard that Texas had had hot weather for the past 30 some days. So what is "hot, hot, hot" supposed to be and what do you call the past 30 days?

What an adorable card!! The image is so cute and your coloring is just amazing!

I love Ten Gallon Tex! :) He's one of my favorites.
It's not as hot here. Still hot, just not AS hot. We are celebrating Joe's 12th birthday tomorrow at our friend's farm. The water is warm on top, but nice and cool a foot or so down. :)

Cute card and love the metal looking star. Not having near enough fun here, getting groceries at Wegmans, watching it rain, and unpacking boxes into the new craft room. Stay cool!

Mr. Chicken reminds me of Lyle Lovett's 10-gallon hat song. Oh Lordy, how I love that song! Darling chicken image too with those scrawny chicken legs swimming in those cowboy boots! Such personality!

Great card! Love the colors and the coloring! That star is amazing as is the handsome Tex!

Loved seeing one of your cards. You so rarely post cards - but I enjoy your topics just as much. Such a cute card.

Super cute card - I love your colouring ;)
Stay cool! Rx
