While going through various drawers and boxes, sorting, organizing, I'm finding all kinds of treasures! This stamp from Inky Antics Rubber Stamps (In my PJs) is my favorite Inky Antics image. I haven't used her in about a year... maybe longer! So I put all the digging and sorting and organizing aside, and inked her up! Can you blame me!? *grin*
This image is sooo me. Well, aside from the short curly hair. You'd never know I have long hair because it's always UP! Since I work from home, you can bet "house pants" are my wardrobe of choice. The only thing I'm missing are the slippers.
I colored her pretty loosely with markers, not trying to blend in every color to the next. I rather like it that way. I like it when I can see an artists personal technique in whatever they do. Not everything needs to be evenly blended, or even completely filled in with color. Find your unique style and let it sing out!
I've GOT to get to the grocery store on Sunday... We're out of produce and fruit, and we're out of milk ... and we don't even have any yogurt left (which is a staple for me) so I've got to pick up a bit of that so I can brew up a BIG batch (4+ quarts) of homemade yogurt. Yummm!! Time to make my shopping list! And after that, more work will be done on the Spring/Summer 2012 Whipper Snapper release. Yay!!
Enjoy your Sunday!!

Hey Anna ... this Inky Antics' image is brillant and your colouring/shading is stunning. You always make it seem so easy but it's not! When are those online classes of yours going to start?? *hint hint*

Makes me sad to think of you buying produce after all your garden work! Bummer! By the way, love the glitter on the card also, not to mention of course, your coloring, and the reminder that we don't all need to be the same!

I can see why this image is your favorite! AMAZING coloring and the little of "texture" on her cup. This is such a great design. Thanks for the inspiration once again.

I like your loose coloring. Every once in a while when I'm feeling especially brave artistically, I try it and usually end up liking it, although smooth blends are more my usual style. She is so cute! If I looked that cute in lounge pants and slippers, I'd dress like that every day. :)

What a cute card. Love the bunny slippers. I love how you colored the image. More important then that I love that you encouraged people to find their own style of coloring/stamping. To often I find myself trying to be just like those who's coloring I find amazing and when I don't get it just right I get discouraged. I needed that bost of confidence to just be "me" when I color.

Your coloring is just gorgeous, Anna, and the overall card turned out great too! I had to share this on the Inky blog, which I hope is okay: http://inkyanticsrubberstamps.blogspot.com/2011/08/sunday-surprise.html. Thanks for posting such an adorable project!

I doubt you'd want to wear bunny slippers today. :( It's so humid here that it's unbearable (for me). We are getting lots of caterpillars and butterflies. Hope your milk doesn't sour on the way home.

Oh I love her! This card makes me smile...from the cute image (that so many of us can relate to) to your amazing coloring (you are so very right about embracing one's own style!) and right down to the nuts and bolts of your layout. Just a perfectly fun card.
