Occasionally farmers in the area will grow sunflowers, and let me tell you, they are my FAVORITE of all the local crops grown. These photos are from 2009, taken in a LARGE field of blooms.

YES! We saw some type of purple flowers growing in a couple of fields near the Oregon Coast this trip. Don't know what they were, but they sure made some beautiful fields!
I remember these! It was the first time I went "awwww - her DH really loves her!" because he had taken you to see a particularly beautiful field of sunflowers so you could photograph them. True love.

I probably commented on these before, but oh well! Sunflowers have always been one of my favorites. I wish I could see a field like this someday!
