Thank you for all of your condolences about Dee. Though small in size, she always made her presence in the coop known. She was clearly a favorite, and was even featured on our 2010 holiday card wearing a Santa hat. There's something about the small Dutch and English Bantams that makes them very special... they overflow with personality. I'd raise them exclusively if they laid eggs larger than a robin! It takes a lot of Dutch Bantam eggs to make an omelet! *grin*
Enough sadness... how about something crafty, and springy, like Sweet Pete! Easter isn't too far off. I was reminded of this when Alan and I were at the grocery store over the weekend. He zipped to the Easter isle... "chocolate, chooocoooolate, mmmmm!" He picked out a couple milk chocolate bunnies for himself, and a white chocolate cookies'n cream bunny for me. Mmmmm!
The flowers on this card are blossoms I pulled from some silk flower stems I picked up years ago during a spring clearance. I added some paper punched leaves, accented with some faux stitching down the center and glitter on the edges. I also added a bit of glitter to the flower centers, and tucked a pink button alongside to secure the sentiment tag.
Happy Wednesday!

Aww, I just read about Dee. Our beagle Phoebe Jean is getting up there (13) and I am worried about that day!
Well, this card did sure cheer me up. I hope that when you made it, you felt a little better, too :)

Just wondering what you use for envelopes for your cards that have raised or fluffy additions on the fronts...how can you send or mail them without them getting all squished or flattened out in transit? they are so cute..trade ya some sun for some of our rain here in Vancouver BC...thanks Missy...

That's cute that the little bantams lay tiny eggs. :) That's probably a good thing since they're tiny and might have trouble popping out large ones! Oh, how I love Sweet Pete and how you colored him--he's beautiful! And those flowers and the paper is yummy! Pure Easter delight.

This bunny card is just so adorable! I haven't had a chocolate bunny this year yet, but did see the cookies and creme ones and know I will have to snag some of those for my oldest son.

Had to laugh about the bantam eggs. A friend has chickens and the other day gave my husband these two little banty eggs-I fried them up for his breakfast, 2=about one regular small egg-maybe. But they were sure cute little things!!

Awww Sweet Pete is nearly as sweet as a chocolate bunny. So, it looks like I am not the only one to pull stems of flowers apart! :) The apple blossoms are so pretty. Thinking Spring and Easter will help with the cold, wet snap we are having. YUCKY. Big Hugs...

Your bunny card is beautiful! I love all the glitter and the flowers. I would imagine you would not be able to mail that one very easily. Have a great day!
