Really quickly, I just wanted to show you this cute little speckly green egg one of the hens in the hen house provided us with yesterday. I think I know who left it for me... a pretty little silver and black pullet.
What's funny is she layed it in the feed container. Silly girl, that's not a nest box!
Now, Alan and I are making a quick trip to the feed store. I meant to get there today on my lunch hour, but couldn't get away from work long enough for the trip. So, this evening we'll be making a trip to town. The chickens deserve Thanksgiving feasting, too!
Cluck cluck!
I love all of their wonderful presents! So pretty!

Hi Anna! Happy Thanksgiving to you!!! I think the egg is adorable - such a sweet (and yes, strange) place to leave it! Reading about your chickens makes me want some so badly!
Hugs!!

Beautiful egg Anna, I love the green ones too. My son needed scrambled eggs for his class so I used my whole stash this week. Had to plead the chickens to lay a few more yesterday so I could make deviled eggs for today, only got 3.LOL
I hope you and Alan have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day .

That is quite a jewel your pullet left for you. Glad to know you're treating your feathered friends to a Thanksgiving feast, even if it's only grain. Happy Thanksgiving!
