I made another country chic hen tag, this time a bit smaller, and this time, she's glittered up!
To adhere the glitter, I used a makeup wedge/sponge to apply a thin layer of matte accents (a clear adhesive that dries with a matte finish), and then sprinkled on some Martha Stewart course crystal glitter. Sparkle, girl, sparkle!
To create the text paper lace at the bottom, I used an EK scallop punch to scallop the bottom of a narrow strip of October Afternoon paper. To soften it up a bit, I spritzed the strip with stamp cleaner (because it was within reach). Once the strip was damp, it was much easier to form it into the gathered shape I wanted. I adhered the strip to the tag using a piece of sticky strip tape. The matte accents gave the dried strip a bit more stability, and of course the glitter makes it sparkle!
Off topic: Thanks for the nice feedback and comments about the video tutorial I did on painting with craft/pigment ink. I'm happy you found it helpful! If you have other topics or processes you'd like to see in video, please let me know and I'll see what I can do!

Oh that chicken again! I just adore it...and add glitter and it's even more perfect!

Your tag is just so fun - thanks for the tips on the cute ruffle - it looks like fabric. And, I love, love, love your Dad's recipe - mostly the way it's written! Hugs.

Like that news print lace it’s a nice touch! You’re so talented!
That last tutorial was fantastic! You are a natural! My favourite thing about your cards is your coloured images, the fill, the shading, the colours you use are all so perfectly punchy, is a calm country way, it grabs my attention right away. I've been very curious about the different types of mediums you use to colour your images and how you apply them all. I would love to see a series of tutorials on just your colourings and the tools you use to colour.

I just love these chickens and the papers you use make them that much more adorable. I would like to know if there is a template of some sort to get the shape of the chicken. Also I would like to know if the 'Rollerderby Hen' is still available. I went to Whipper Snapper site but no price was listed on it.
