I was working on a Etsy order earlier and since I had the sewing things out, I decided to put together this little pinchy pot holder for my sister. Shhhh!
She likes yellow in her kitchen, and she likes "cute" bees, so I thought this fabric would work well for her.
The pot holder essentially has two "pockets" on the outside. You slip your thumb into one pocket, and your fingers into the other, and the pockets help hold the pot holder on your hand. There's a nice interior of heat resistant fleece, as well as a second layer of cotton batting for extra protection.
She hasn't received the pot holder yet, so don't tell her about it! I am betting on the fact that she won't check my blog for a while, and maybe I can get it in the mail to her before she finds out about it!
Sneaky Pete!
The other pinchy pot holder I made looks like this:
OMG cute. I am a HUGE bee and sunflower lover and these fabrics are AWESOME. The potholder is such a great idea. Please let us know where you found the fabric and also where we can learn to make these potholders. Love reading your blog and seeing all your feathery friends.

Love the potholders! The fabric is adorable and I love the "pinchie" style of the pattern. Is this a pattern or did you"wing" it? Can you share either the pattern name/company or the measurements you used? Thanks for the inspiration!

It looks great! I stopped at the Coffee shop today while I was coming home with the new driftboat. Good luck with the surprise. I wont bet against you but she, "M" is getting pretty tricky lately. Love, Dad
