Last week was a long week away from home. I was in the San Jose, California area on business, so I got to experience the monster rain storm that hit northern California early last week. I also heard that there was a small earthquake near San Jose while I was there, too!
The weather was no better for Alan at home ... about 6 inches of rain fell, making conditions on the farm quite wet and muddy. Things on the farm are starting to dry out now, but we're expecting more rain later this week. Thank goodness for muck boots!
Halloween is just around the corner...are you planning on doing anything fun? I need to put out some jack-o-lanterns!

oh! i just saw this... you were in my city! Agree with Jackie, would have been fun to meet you in person! Darn... maybe you were one of the people running past me in that crazy rainstorm.. =)

Welcome back Anna! I was in sunny CA last week too! I was visiting my daughter in LA and there for all the rain. :o) It was quite a to-do there. I heard one weather reporter say that they had not see that much rain in decades. Oh my!
Take care and STAY POSITIVE!

it poured like crazy here in new england, followed by snow! woo hoo!
as for halloween, i live in a great neighborhood where we "boo" each other, and the yards become magical places of decoration and spookiness!
i make treat bags and pass out about 250, but since it's a saturday this year traffic will be heavy! i love it! if the weather is warm then we all hang out on our porches chit chatting...
glad your're home safe and i love the image of walking through the mud in my muck boots!

We have had record cold here, the coolest first 13 days of Oct. since records were kept...1887 to be exact. Mother Nature is on a rampage...
Your card is precious...I must start on my Halloween cards. I have both your sets, so it will be fun! Hugs to you, and welcome back! :D

Wait! Is that mold growing on the bottom of your shoes! No surprise there considering all the rain you experienced in my beloved San Jose. Love the little witchy ghost too.

Hi Anna, Glad you are home, safe and sound. It was wet all weekend here too, and the cool temps didn't help. DD is still trying to decide what to be for Halloween, toss up between Sleeping Beauty/or Minnie Mouse. Might invest in fake pumpkins this year, the crop was bad, too much rain, so they are small and pricy...
