I was poking around in some of my stamp storage drawers the other night to see what I could find. I came across my Charlie stamp, and thought he would work perfect in a scene with this "old" (1998) stamp called Garden Fence from Stampington & Co that I recently purchased for a couple of bucks on eBay. I stamped the garden fence in black StazOn ink and painted it with re-inkers and a water brush. I added ultra fine glitter with a 2-Way Glue pen for LOTS of sparkle.
I stamped Charlie on a separate piece of paper, painted him the same way, added some glitter to his flower and neck tie, then cut him out. I adhered him to the card using dimensional foam adhesive, so he's popped up a bit from the garden fence. I think he turned out pretty cute, standing in the garden having picked the prettiest flower for a friend.
Here's hoping you have a happy Monday... let the countdown to the weekend begin!
Oh, Anna, this is truly wonderful! I love all the birdhouses and flowers. All that watercoloring must have taken some time... but so worth it! Good call on the glitter. I always love a bit of sparkle!
Hugs,
Lisa

Thanks for sharing your "old" stamps. Your beautiful coloring really gives them a new look. I guess I better go digging around in the old stuff.

I love this! A friend was just diagnosed with leukemia and I am sending several cards a week to the hospital. I am surprised at how hard it is to make cheerful cards out of my stash. I need more that are fun and quirky, like this card. Of course, it is older so I'll have to hunt for it. I don't whether to be thankful that I saw this or not. :)

Love how you used those 2 stamps together - so cute. I can see using just the fence part of the stamp too!
I hope you got some of the rain that poured through MN last night - quite a drencher.
