This week's High Hopes blog challenge is Christmas in July! I chose to use Tropical Santa because with temperatures in the 100s here, poolside is the only place to be!
I stamped Santa on natural cardstock and colored him with Prismacolor pencils, and used Gamsol and a paper stump to blend the colors.
I decided I didn't quite get enough of my crystal snowflakes last winter, so I pulled out the glass glitter and the snowflake punches and went to town! A little holiday sentiment from my Whipper Snapper set called Snowman for Peace fit nicely on the snowflake.
Join the challenge...more details on the High Hopes blog, along with loads of samples from the other design team members!
So stinkin' cute!

This is a fantastic card Anna!

My favorite things about this card: your coloring (of course), the candy-striped DP, your straight stitching with a zigzag on one side, the way you placed the twine, and your cool sparkly snowflakes. You could probably stand a snowflake or two in TX right now, huh?!

Anna your card is fabulous!

There is nothing more Anna than a glitterified snowflake with a button and sentiment tag! Yay!

OMGosh, this is FABULOUS! Santa is perfectly tanned with your awesome coloring, and the striped paper and snowflake make a great finish for the whole card!

This is awesome...love Santa's hairy legs, lol! I must have been channeling you because I used one of those snowflakes on my card for this coming Sunday's challenge. I didn't even make it with the challenge in mind, but thought I'd check the database & woohooo...perfect....love when that happens!! Thanks for all of your inspiration!

Love the rope and the vintage snowflakes!! I bought all of the stuff to make them last year. Maybe this year I'll acutally use them :0)

Love the coloring! Is the white beard colored pencil too?
Re: the heat - I'm really feeling your pain, Anna. Even a few 90 degree days up here in MN puts me in a foul mood, but this would be a good year to visit us. People are complaining about our cool summer, and I'm in heaven, especially with cool mornings and evenings like it "should be".

Oh my word - would ya get a load of that tan? Love the snowflakes and cord.

Hmm-that looks like my sofa slug. Except for the hat (mine wears a Detroit Lions cap) and he doesn't have a tan. Trade ya?
