This week's High Hopes blog challenge is hosted by ME! The theme for this week's challenge is Zigs & Zags! You can interpret that any way you'd like. I chose to keep my card pretty simple, to not take away from the cute bunny image Crissy illustrated. Originally, I'd planned to use some pinking shears and some zaggy ribbon, but after I had the image colored I decided to use some cream colored satin ribbon and a cute little cherry blossom silk flower.
I painted the image with reinkers and added a bit of intensity and shimmer with Twinkling H2O's. To add some sparkle to the flower I added some Shimmerz Angel Wings paint to the petals. And after the card was assembled, I spritzed it with silver spray glitter. I do love the sparkles...
I used some of my favorite Daisy D's paper from my stash. I'm really bummed Daisy D's is out of business. I really love some of their older paper lines. They did a lot of fabric prints as paper, in conjunction with Moda (who is currently making fabric out of Basic Grey paper patterns). Fabric designs are so perfect as printed paper -- I hope that we continue to see a blend of fabric and paper crafts.
If you want to participate in this week's High Hopes blog challenge, you will find all the details on the High Hopes blog sometime early Sunday morning.

This is ADORABLE! I love everything about it! I was just reading about Pippy's vest too and it's just as adorable. I love reading about your animals and how you take such great care of them - they're lucky to have you :)

Love the card! The stitching is perfect.
I agree with you about Daisy D's. I'm still hoarding a piece of this exact paper. Most of my grandson's scrapbook so far is with Daisy D's paper.

How do I adore this card? Let me count the ways... the image is perfectly watercolored as is the blue aura shading, the glimmer, that precious stitching, the DP, the pink blush on the bunnies' cheeks, and that dogwood blossom! Where ever do I find a dogwood blossom like yours?

Gorgeous card. Love how you colored the bunnies. The pink really pops and I like the patterned paper and sewing. I may have to try this challenge. Thanks so much for sharing.

Your Rabbit Family is very colourful especially Momma Rabbit's "Hare" Ribbons :) ha ha
I really like admiring the detail on your cards when you use your sewing machine (Are you using the new one yet that you found on EBay?), because your stitching method is really funkey and cool. I'd rather things be a little off centre and not perfect ~ for me this just screams that it's hand-made and is full of love :)

I LOVE your card, Anna, I love how you colored the bunny , the soft touch on the ribbon with flower and the zig-zag stitches too, I wish I can have a sewing machine!
