This week, the challenge for the High Hopes designers was to incorporate metal into our project - any kind of metal. What fun! I chose to use one of my metal heart buttons, and put together this little birdie card in shades of blue and brown. If you would like to join us in this challenge, you'll find all the details on the High Hopes blog.
This project was a quick break from holiday crafts and snowflakes. But, don't worry! I worked my fingers to the bone on some fun wintry projects that I'll be sharing as soon as they dry (or shortly after)!

Help! I love your card and the stamps - so cute :0) I went to the High Hopes site to see about ordering the stamps, but they are not listed for the December monthly special, it's still the November dragon set. Will they be changing this so we can order them? Thanks!

Cute blue bird. It took awhile before I noticed you used a tree as a branch.

Absolutely adorable! I love all the colors together. I didn't see it mentioned but did you do watercoloring? If so, what type of paper did you do it on? Really cool affect!!!

Love this! I also love that you play so well with other artist's images. You're an equal opportunity stamper, aren't you?

What wonderful work you do! Such artistry! Seems to me you certainly passed this challenge. Love your oclors, stitching, pinking, and the manner in wich you use the threads/fibers on the metal button. It goes without saying that the popped up tree, nest and bluebird works perfectly for this card.
