Wahooo! Another "something other than a card" production for me! I guess this is what happens to me around the holidays. Having little packages of things to give is FUN and thoughtful, and they don't have to break the bank.
I bought these clear pillow boxes from Clear Envelopes. They have a variety of sizes, and come with little round circle sticker seals. I *love* them! I'm going to be using them more and more often. They're a snap to put together since they're already cut and glued. All you have to do is give the sides a little squeeze, fold in the end flaps, and you're all set! The size I chose was 3x1x5, item #PB76 without the optional hangtag.
I picked up a package of YUMMY soft licorice last time I was at Target. I'm surprised I had enough to fill this pillow box, because the licorice is THAT good! But I had this project in mind, so I was "good".
I've seen Snowman Poop and Reindeer Poop holiday goodie bags, and wanted to create something similar without having to include any sort of "poop" poem. I think this project is just a bit more subtle, too, which I like.
The "Reindeer Delivery Handle with Care" sentiment is from my Whipper Snapper set called North Pole Post. After I had this all put together, I thought of stamping the clear pillow box with the reindeer hoof print that's also included in the set, but didn't want to take apart the entire ensemble. And I didn't have enough licorice for two! *haaa!*
The paper I used is from an old BasicGrey line. I liked it because it actually has reindeer on it! I must be addicted to crystal-covered snowflakes and buttons this year - I've been using them an awful lot these days. Who cares! I like the way it looks!
What are YOU making for the holidays this year?

you are soooo ROCKing with these snowflake projects! Keep 'em coming!!

this looks like so much fun. I send cookies and treat or to the troops (Baking Gals) and these would be delightful to include with some great goodies for all occasions. tfs MaryAnn

This is so cute. I love it. The little box fits well for this.
I have called them snowman hats. Kids like that too-and that way no parent gets mad at me for calling it poop. :)

Another wonderful and adorable project. I havent tried the licorice from Target but if its anything like the Aussie Licorice you can get at Trader Joes then its the most awesome licorice on earth. I love your snowflakes and special touches you put on your projects. Truly one of a kind stuff...

Oh I just LOVE this reindeer delivery! I was making Holiday Recipe books for my family members (little 4x6 ones bound together with a bind it all) I think I might have to do something like this too. I bet it would be a big hit at school with teachers ;-)
Thanks for sharing, Anna. I am inspired yet again!

Another adorable idea! I am lovin those sparkly snowflakes...keep making them! I have all the materials so I plan on making many of them myself. I bought Diamond Dust a few years ago and I dont know if I even ever used it!! Crazy, right?! I cant wait to use my deer footprints too-love them!
I really dont plan very far in advance so I dont even know what I am making for Thanksgiving yet let alone Christmas! But you provide lots of inspiration!
Thanks Anna!!

I bought 2 dozen of these clear pillow boxes last year for a project but they just didnt look as good as I thought they would. This is a perfect idea for me to use them. Your ideas are the best!

I like the way it looks too! This is so cute, without the other poem it seems much more palatable! LOL... Thanks for the great idea and the place to get the pillows...

This is great, Anna! I love black licorice...what is the brand and I will look for it on my next trip. Your little pillow box is wonderful and I love the idea of no *poop poem*. Love your snowflakes, so make as many as you want!!

Anna, Ive been reading your blog for a long time now, but I dont know that Ive left very many comments.
I just wanted to say that your sense of humor always makes me smile or laugh out loud. Your writing style is so visual that I can perfectly picture your expressions. Its a riot!
Also, Im constantly amazed at your artistry. Your stamps are some of my favorites (I especially love Happy Clucking Birthday - that set is on my Christmas list!).
Keep on keeping on!

I saw Cheryl asked about the snowflakes too-- are you just using the Marvy punches and then gluing some kind of crystals on them?? I love how theyve looked on your projects!! (I like the subtle much better than poop too--- lol--- I have 3 little kids, so I deal with poop enough!)

LOVE this project! Ive always hated those poop projects!

Love it. The colours are gorgeous and I love the snowflakes. Ahhh, makes me long for cool weather, and a white Christmas must be nice instead of ur stinkinhot ones. (Christmas day should have snow whatever part of the world you live in, should be some sort of international law, lol)

This is so darling!! Im not a licorice fan, but my boys are! I may have to make a cute package for each of their stockings!
This year Im making hostess aprons for some of my sister-in-laws, dolls for younger nieces, fleece winter sets for older nieces and nephews, and monsters for my younger nephews. Not a clue on what to do for my MIL and FIL, though.
Lots of sewing for me this year!

Fabulous work on this pillow box. I love the long laces you left on the back of the button and your snowflakes are marvelous.

This is so fun. Licorice wouldnt last long enough in my house to put in the cute container. Love your sparkly snowflakes buttons, keep on making them. Thanks for the wonderful tutorial on the box. Definitely going to give it a try now that I have the scor-pal. Im embroidering some fun dishtowels w/a cowboy theme for my sister. Those snowflakes would be great on the package!
Happy Wednesday.
