This week on the High Hopes blog, the challenge for the week is "anything but a card". I whipped up this little scalloped tag just in time! Callie Christmas Kitty is from the latest release of images, and is as full of mischief as you can get! I know we've had this scene in our house, more than once!
I put the tag on this Made in Canada Crown jar full of antique thread and spools that I picked up at a *relatively* local antique shop a few weeks ago. The top of the jar is cool! It's two pieces - the metal ring, and a sealing cap which is embossed glass. I'll see if I can get a photo next time I'm taking pics.
We're one day closer to the weekend!

This tag is soooo cute! Love the great coloring... TFS!

Aren't those antique jars cool! I have some with the glass top that I found in my grandmother's old barn.
I love the kitty image on the tag!

Oh my gosh, Anna! This is just so adorable. What a beautiful job you did on your tag, and it gave me a wonderful idea for some "Cup of Blessing" cups I will make for each of the ladies in my Bible Study.

Love that jar and those spools! Nothing like a classic to set off your art. I think you need to go shopping again and see what else you can find.

OMG I must be an antique I used that kind of jars when I first started canning. My grandma gave me some of her jars. They used a rubber ring under the embossed glass lid. I still have some of the jars but the lids and rings have been replace by modern metal lids and rings.I also used the wooden spools. My how time flies. Ann Lind

I always enjoy your blog, Anna!

The tag is adorable - and I had to laugh over the jar - I actually still use that type up here!! My grandma has tons of them and last time I canned peaches and pears we used a bunch with the glass lids :) Sadly they don't seal quite so well or as easily as the newer metal tops - but it was cool to do nonetheless ;)
