My friend Lindsey and I both have a "thang" for western themed things. Just for fun, Lindsey and I started doing Showdown challenges with each other about a year ago, and they've been so fun! Our challenges always incorporate something "western", whether it's a particular western themed stamp set, or something like "leather".
It's been a few months since our last challenge, so we thought it was time for another showdown! For this showdown, we chose to simply go with "western" for our theme.
One of the images I recently released with Whipper Snapper is this Rootin' Tootin' Snowman. This was the perfect time to try him out on a card!
I stamped him in Pitch Black Adirondack ink and colored him with markers. I used a little star stamp from a retired Stampin' Up set called Starstruck for the background. I also used the Stampin' Up star punch to create the little star embellishment, along with a pewter star brad.
YeeHaw! Happy Monday!! Thanks for the fun challenge, Lindsey!!
Be sure you visit Lindsey's blog to see her cutie little western creation!

I almost forgot to comment on this. First off I love it when you have your Showdowns with Lindsey. You are both such talented stampers and have come up with some great cards for this round. By the way I adore your Western Snowman!

Now if he was truly a Texas snow-cow-man he would be a puddle with a vest on top! He is just toooo cute and your colors are wonderful. My favorite part is his askew hat! Too funny! Actually looks a little "Down Under". Great card...
