In a few weeks, my parents are going to take a road trip from northeastern Washington ALLLLLL the way down to Texas to stay with us for a while here on the farm. I'm looking forward to their visit! Here's a card made with their trip in mind.
The sentiment, SUV, and trailer stamps are by Amuse. The images are stamped in black StazOn and painted with a water brush and reinkers. I drew in the mountain, hill, and bumpy road. The entire image is mounted to the Memory Box note card with foam dimensionals.
Bring your swimsuit's Mom and Dad! It's gonna be HOT!

I must have this stamp!! I luv your card! TFS!

Adorable card, Anna!! Your coloring always puts me in awe! I love how you put the shadow at the bottom. I keep looking at it and wondering....did she, or didn't she *paint* the shadow. It's a *fool the eye* type of thing, I'm guessing, and I love it.

How fun! My mother has these stamps and I have yet to see her use them. I shall definately show her your card. She has told me that they remind her of the fun camping trips she took as a little girl with the tiny tiny trailer and the boat on top of the station wagon.
I hope you have a super time with your parents! Definately take them to the camel ranch - that should give them a laugh!
Take care. Hugs to all, M

Anna,
What a great card. What I want to know is do you use watercolor paper when using re-inkers and your waterbrush? If not, what do you use.
Thanks,
Melissa

G,Day to ya! just 7 more days until the big "D" for departure. Due to the rather nasty weather in Tornado Alley we have decided to travel through the Rocky's on the way down.We will follow part of Lewis and Clarks' route through Montana, South from Butte through Idaho Falls and the upper Snake basin into Utah. Passing Salt Lake and going through the canyon lands and the Grand Canyon to Page, Arizona. Turning left at Flagstaff and across New Mexico and into the Texas panhandle. A piece of cake, Right? Tornados are to hard for me to cast a fly into. I'm getting old I guess. We think the card is lovely and by the way it looks you must have had an idea that we decided to "Chicken Out" and stay in the mountains. We plan to make a photo journal so that we dont get lost on the way back, Tee hee. Love, Dad and Mom

Anna, I know that I have told you numerous times how I love the fact that you color with re-inkers, but it is awesome. And it lets those of us out here in la la land know that you don't need to spend money on Copics. I just simply refuse to drop that amount of money on MARKERS. They are beautiful, but I simply won't spend what I would normally spend on a kitchen appliance unless if would further a career somehow! Thank again for your awesome blog!

I think a "farm" vacation is great. So much to see and do. Then there's the quiet time in open spaces that feels so good. Its great they can come down there to see you. The card fits the occassion perfectly.
