When I was at my parent's house over Christmas, I was looking through all of my Mom's embroidery patterns. She has all kinds of them that are for decorating tea towels or hand towels, and so many of them are for different days of the week. Each day of the week is something different, like Monday is for Washing, Tuesday is for Ironing, etc.
That's what this card reminds me of, so today must be wash day! The sun is shining too, so it would be a good day to hang freshly washed sheets out to dry. But it's not really warm enough for that, so I guess it will have to wait until summer. (I knew I could find a way out of that one!)
Images on this card are by Rubbernecker. I liked being able to build my own line of clothes (I drew the line in by hand). Since all of the images are separate, you can have a line of just jeans, just shirts, just socks, just towels, etc. Fun!! It sure beats actually DOING the wash, don't you think!? I used various Adirondack reinkers to watercolor the image.
This brings back memories for me too; I am one of 11 kids so my mom definitely had a schedule for wash! Monday was dress clothes (which had to be ironed of course), Tuesday & Thursday, whites, towels etc, Wednesday was "play" clothes; we didn't have a dryer so everything was line-dried; yep, my mom's a saint! She had 6 boys before me; do you think she was praying for a girl???!!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane with this awesome card!

Awwwwwwwwww, this just takes me right back to the farm in Oklahoma! I can remember running through the hanging clothes, teasing my mom! Love your coloring ... of course!!

Oh, this is soooooo CUTE!! It reminds me of a picture I have hanging in my house that says Montana Landscape on the line and it is a bunch of blue jeans hanging on a laundry line. It is one of my most favorite pics EVER!!!

This is so cute. Reminds me of my mom hanging out clothes regardless of the season (only rain or snow would slow her down). Love these images!
