Today's daily challenge on SplitCoastStampers was a sketch (layout) challenge. I created this card for the challenge, but it doesn't exactly match. If you rotate this card 180 degrees, you'll have today's layout.
I ended up putting the front panel on the right side of the card, rather than the left side. Ooops! I like it this way though. It gives the flying chicken somewhere to go. If he was on the left side of the card, he'd be all out of flyin' space! *grin*
I seem to have an abundance of scraps, so every piece of paper I used on this card I pulled from my "scrap" pile. I found all kinds of scraps to use for other projects too! Scrap is good! Use your scraps!
The image on this card is one of my own Whipper Snapper stamps, Birthday Flight. This stamp arrived at my house yesterday, and OH MY GOSH, I **squealed** when I picked it up out of the box! It might seem strange that I get all kinds of excited about the stamps since I drew the images, but WOW! It's so different having the actual stamps in my hands! FUN FUN!!
Don't miss out on the blog candy drawing that will be made Friday morning! See below (two posts down) for the details!

Can they get any cuter? Does WSD sell stock? Your images are fantastic and your coloring...oh you are a master!

Anna, I love every illustration you have on your site. Is there a possibility that you may someday sell cards made with your illustrations?

Your beautiful coloring brings this little guy to life. Very cute card; thanks for sharing. Isn't as cold here in Utah as many places in the Northern U.S. and Canada, but we've had snow in the yard since Dec. 1 with three more storms coming starting tonight. The snow shovel is seeing lots of use!

Oh my goodness, this chicken is ADORABLE!!!!
Love your card too (as always!).
I wish I was able to draw, but I have to stick with the stamps that were made from drawings by such talented people as you!
Still freezing here in MN- and we had a good scare tonight with our furnace. I came home after work around 5pm and by 6pm I was starting to wonder why it felt so cold in the house. After checking the thermostat which was set at 70 degrees and noting the actual temp in the room had dropped to almost
60 degrees, I went in the basement and the furnace wasn't working. LOVELY- why does this have to happen on -5 degree evenings and when hubby is at work? I called hubby at work and he told me to shut off the power to the furnace, take out the air filter and vacuum it, put it back in and turn the furnace back on. After a few minutes warm air was back bloewing through the heating vents- Phew!!Thank goodness! I just hope it stays on and tomorrow hubby is going to go get a new filter. Sorry for the ramble here!
By the way how the barn yard gang doing?
