It seemed kind of fitting this week to make a card using my own Whipper Snapper Standing Chicken stamp, considering all of the newly hatched chicks we have on the farm. I wanted to create a thank you card for a friend of mine - this one will be perfect!
I used two of my new Spellbinder dies, the scalloped and regular rectangle. I put the layers through the die cut machine twice, so it embossed the edges after the shapes were cut. Pretty cool gadgets if you ask me! (Happy Birthday to me...)
I pulled some fun patterned paper out of my stash that coordinated with my painted chicken (how *lucky* I was to have paper that matched), and some polka dot brown organza. Dreamy...
As a final touch, I added some Stardust Stickles for a bit of glitz. Shouldn't all chickens wear sparkles? I think so...
Oh and by the way, the sentiment is by AMuse. Ooooh, one more thing... if you could see the stash of patterned paper I have, you'd realize that *LUCK* really had nothing to do with the making of this card.

Curse you and your nasty links! After seeing this card I just had to click on the link to Whipper Snapper and I can't figure out how I lived so long (really long!) without owning any of these stamps.
I finally got myself a decent collection of COPICs and so now it seems I must have some Whipper Snapper stamps to colour ...
I'm off to fill my cart...

This turned out soooo cute Anna! I just ordered some stamps from Whipper Snapper and anxiously awaiting them in the mail. Every single stamp I ordered is one of your designs. I just can't get enough...you're my hero!
I love all the great colors you used with the chicken. The paper is just perfect. So are you a complete addict to patterned paper? My stack of DP is huge and I can't stop myself from buying it every time I see some I like. EEEEK, it must be a sickness!
Thanks for sharing!
