I can't even begin to tell you just how CUTE new baby chickens are! This morning I went out to feed, and Little Brown Hen had two new little babies with her!
She's been sitting on three eggs for a while now - long enough to hatch them, I would suppose!
She's sitting on one more egg and it's a BIG egg, so there's no tellin' what kind of giant baby will hatch from it!
I also took my little camera out to take a couple photos of N'Friend's six babies. They're all about the same age and size, except for one big gray one (farthest one back) that's quite a bit larger than all the others. I guess that's what you can expect with different breeds of chickens all sharing nests. Let's hope they're all hens. We have PLENTY of roosters.
Ahhhhhhhh, Anna! This just goes right to my inner heart. My mom raised literally countless chicks in my youth on the farm. If I close my eyes ... I can almost "go back there" just for a brief visit through these pics!! Thank you!

These chicks are soooo cute! I love baby chicks - can't pass by them in my local farm/feed store without checking them out (usually in the spring!) Thanks for sharing pictures of them :)
