I had a fun weekend! Saturday I met up with a few stampin' friends at a shop in Salado, Texas. We went shopping, enjoyed lunch at a local cafe, and popped into some nearby shops afterwards. (Hi girls! What a fun day!!)
I found all kinds of stamps that needed to be added to my collection! This little bird by Stamps by Judith was one of the stamps I picked up. So cute! This little bird reminds me of our bird Huey Hotfoot. The wild hairdo, the empty-headed gaze... it's Huey for sure.
I put together a few of these cards tonight. They came together fairly quickly once I got the images painted. The designer paper I used is a single sheet I picked up when I was in Oregon earlier this summer. It's one of those sheets that now that I've used it, I wish I had more! The only problem is that I have NO IDEA who makes it, what it's called, or anything! The back of the sheet was totally blank! Cripes...how am I supposed to find more!? Ahh well... not like I don't have 100's of other sheets of paper I could use instead. *pout*
Hope you had a great weekend, too!
Love that birdie! Speaking of, I'm missing the animals....more pix of them---huh huh please please!!!
Hugs

What a cute, beautifully colored little bird! I am 99% sure that the PP is Autumn Leaves. I made a card with it and checked back on my gallery at SCS and that is what I listed it as at the time. I have some scraps left but apparently I used the piece with the maker printed on it.

What an adorable card. Girl, I live just down the road from Solado. I sure hope we get a chance to meet some day. I love, love your blog and the beautiful creations. Yep, Solado Rocks. We have a gift certificate for a night in a B&B there . . . will be doing some stamp shopping there at the best stamp store I know.

Don't you just love Judiths images. I get them once a year when she comes to Springfield for the Rubberstamp show. This is a great card, and I love the paper as well. Stinks you don't know who made it. Have a great day, Debby

This birdie is sooooo cute! I saw the snapshot of all of you on the other blogs. You're the only one who looks different. Your smile is the same gorgeous smile, but you look much, much younger than the picture here on your blog. nice to see ya Salado sounds like a fun place to visit with gal pals. TFS

You've hit the nail on the forehead! That can't be right?) We hoard our cool papers and bellies because we can't use them up and be unable to replace them. My hand shakes and sweat beads on my forehead as i reach for a treasured bit of ribbon! Noooo, nooooo, I can't use that last bit of ribbon! Where will I get more! Nooooooo . . . aaaaaggggghhhhhhhh!

He's adorable! The background paper is very sweet too. I love the simple layout with the craft paper to really focus on the cute designer paper and birdie.
