I wonder if there is anyone else as easily distracted as me.
I was SUPPOSED to be cleaning up my stampin' room tonight so I can get BUSY on some projects I've got due SOON! So, I started by cleaning up where I've been sewing, and then remembered that I needed to get some packages I've had waiting for friends and family labeled and ready for the mail.
While working on that I found a box of my cards on my desk and decided to send out some RAK's.
Then I remembered that the dishwasher needed to be unloaded, loaded and set to run -- off to the kitchen I went. I was also going to get some sherbet, but forgot it... dang!
After I got the dishwasher taken care of, I saw that there were a few stamp sets on my desk that needed to be put away, so I moved them over to the stamp shelf. That's when I saw the container of stamps I bought when I was in Oregon. I had to look at those and find homes in my stamp drawers for them!
Then, back at the table where I have a pile of paper trimmings from recent projects, I found a SCRAP of Stella Ruby paper! I didn't want it to get lost in the shuffle... so, I pulled out a couple of Rosie's Roadshow stamps and this sentiment by A Muse and made this card. Then of course, I had to take a picture of it for my blog!
I found a few other photos on my camera that needed to be downloaded and edited. Which reminded me that I was looking at some auctions on ebay earlier today so I went to go check those out again... And while I was online, I thought I'd better check the forums at SplitCoast and see what's up with worldly stampers. ...and now, here I am posting to my blog.
Hmm... somehow I don't think that the amount of "cleaning" I did in here actually counts as "cleaning". Oh well... there's always tomorrow! *wink*
While I'm thinking about it, I'm going to get some sherbet! Mmmm!
Too "funny & scary" you know me so well! OMGosh, MilwaukeeMommy is correct that you sound just like the characters in Laura J. Numeroff's books! Of course we own three of her books... LOVE "If You Give A MOOSE A Muffin!"
Keep up the great blogging and get those "projects!" finished! *wink*
Hugs,
Anne :)

Boy do you sound like me, I live in a ranch home with my husband of 35 years and our 5 cats and I will walk from my kitchen toward my sewing/craft/scrapbooking and etc room and will walk by the washer and dryer and put a load from the dryer and fold it put it away and put a load from the washer in the dryer then another in the washer, then stop in the bathroom , do maybe the trash, or litter box, then maybe stop in our bedroom to straighten up something, then maybe get to my room to do maybe do what I set out to do when I left the kitchen. Sometimes I will go directly to my room and start playing on the computer and then see something sitting near by and start working on that, then run to kitchen for something to drink , come back and see something else sitting there and start working on that instead of finishing what I was working on before I left the room. I have tons of started and unfinished things in my room. Ladies I am with you all lots to do and not enough time, or the room to do it. I out grew my room years ago, I have to move piles of stuff to get to other stuff. I need a room just to store my stuff.
I love the cards you make they are wonderful. I right now work at a nursing home and I teach the residence to do crafts and one of their favorite is making cards. We are going to start next week working on Christmas cards for them to give their family and friends.
Keep up the good work..

Is this Give a Mouse a Cookie? You make Anna clean her stamp room? I love this story, it makes me feel not so alone :)

Oh I have major Cadd - Craft ADD! Seriously - I have the stuff - just not the time - or the follow through. (Must be a 10/7 thang!)

Easily distracted?!? Surely you jest!
I'm a card-carrying charter member of that club! But I must say, Anna ... your creativity during distraction is terrific! What a sweet little tree!

Love love love this card Anna, I love fall and this just says cool weather and falling leaves. And to make this card a little funnier: I have a pumpkin vine growing up through one of my trees and it has a couple of pumpkins on it. So I have a real pumpkin tree. LOL

LOL--Glad to know it's not just me! I enjoyed your little story, and the other comments as well. I'm not all alone after all, hee hee!

You are too funny! I'm the same way - easily distracted - or is it easily inspired? You seem to get plenty done...just not everything you'd like to do. I quit my job 10 months ago and still can't get everything done! My nephew supposedly has attention-deficit-disorder, but one counselor said it should be called multiple-attention syndrome. It can be annoying, but if the cure is losing all those creative ideas that pop up out of nowhere, I'll take the 'disorder'.

Anna, can I just say you crack me up?!

LMAO!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one that does things like that! You know how many half done things are sitting around my house?!?!

scary, but yes I can relate.

This is a perfect example of "I am WOMAN - hear me roar" - we are the multi-taskers of the world!! You go girl - I totally identify! JeanneH in Idaho

Sounds soooo familiar!

Yep, we are a lot alike! I'll go in a room to do something, can't remember what, I look at something else and start doing that, LOL. I bet in the medical/psychological work this is called "stamper syndrome". Thanks for the laugh and TFS.

You kept thinking about cleaning. "They" always say it's the thought that counts! You're off the hook.

LOL! You just described ME! You know though, some of my favorite cards have been created at those times...

Boy, that sounds so much like me!! I'm still working on my stamp room and what's it been, Anna, maybe a year now?

sounds like my kind of day...I've been trying for 3 weeks to "clean" off my workspace. Like the card though, cute stamp of the apple tree.

That card is really cute, Anna. Hey, the cleaning will always be there tomorrow, right? (That's what I tell myself, anyway.) Enjoy the sherbet!
