This week's Blogger's Challenge was to alter something ... alter anything! I chose this 4x5 spiral journal.
I used one of the Thomas Kinkade images by Cornish Heritage Farms. I stamped the image on vanilla cardstock and colored it with Prismacolor pencils. Then I added several layers of Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel, cracked it, and added some vintage ink to age the piece.
I used paper from a pad called Old World by DCWV. The paper has great texture, kind of like an artists' canvas.
This is what the blank journal looked like before I started. I like the transformation!

Have a GREAT Friday!!

That is an AWESOME journal, Anna!! It looks like an antique book and is so very DESIRABLE, lol. TFS.

Anna, this is beautiful and you are right...the transformation is almost unbelievable. I especially like the cracked glass/aged effect on the main image. But more significant is that it is not "girly girl". It seems we tend to only think of women when we make journals, etc.

You are AMAZINGLY talented!!! This is fantastic. Love the cracked glass over the Thomas Kinkade image (which is colored to perfection)!

Anna: Your journal is beautiful, as are all of your creations. Have a wonderful time in Oregon - that sounds so relaxing. Just got back from the Seaside/Astoria area. Pretty touristy, but oh so nice.

This is beautiful. I really like the paper you used. I have the stamp, just haven't used it yet. Your journal thru the spiral area is so neat looking. I'm not sure how to achieve that without it looking bad. It is a fabulous journal.
