Lindsey (Jacksonbelle) and I have a western card Stampin' Showdown happening between each other. Since we're both gaga for western, it just seemed natural that we should have a little fun together!
This time, Lindsey issued the challenge. The only design criteria we had was to use the new Stampin' Up set called Wanted.
Yeehawww!! Challenge accepted!!
This set is fabulous! In addition to the word WANTED and the horse silhouette, there are also several star and floral motif images that resemble the printed patterns on a bandanna.
I used two different patterned papers from the Hideaway Cafe Cosmo Cricket line. (They were handy since I used the same papers on the dog mini book I just finished earlier this week.) I really like the worn paint look on these papers. I aged the look of the paper even more by inking the edges with various Ranger Distress inks, and by sanding some of the edges. At first I wasn't sure if I liked this card, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. The textures, colors, and layers of ink are eye candy to me! I think this will be one of those cards that's really difficult for me to send away. In fact, I might just have to keep it for myself!

YEEHAWWWWW for your card!!! These showdowns seem like great fun. What did you put on the inside?? "Wanted" insinuates sooooooo many interesting things and you know I like the way you think! It's always nice to know your wanted...you could put ALAN inside and you can take it from there, haha. TFS.
