My friend Aileen made a cute Memory Box penguin card and used the A Muse sentiment "When life gives you limes...make Margaritas!" As soon as I saw her card that stamp went on my wish list!
Well! Guess what I got in the mail! YAY! New A Muse stamps! I used that sentiment on this card with a poolside kitty enjoying a cool, refreshing margarita! It's getting hot enough here, that's not a bad idea!
The kitty image is by Penny Black. I think they have the cutest little critters! I watercolored this image using ink from my Stampin' Up reinkers and an aqua painter. I just love the results.
I noticed that Stampin' Up has a new background stamp in the catalog that's all little polka dots, like on the background of my card. I don't have it, nor do I need it! I have the old one that was retired years ago called Decorative Dots! YAY for good deals on ebay! I bought my stamp a couple of years ago. I'm pretty sure I didn't pay more than $6 or $7 dollars. I love good deals!
The swirls on this card were done with the swirly stamp from the new set called Priceless. Great set for swirls and dots and a whole lotta fun!
Meow!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card!!

Anna,
You bought that background stamp from me. :) Better yet, I think you traded for it with mono refills. :)

Great card, my cat would be the first one there for the drinks, don't know about the pool though.

Great summertime card! I absolutely LOVE the Penny black critters done by Margaret Sherry - frogs, chickens, ducks, and cats - they're just too cute. You did a great job coloring it - as usual. You should give classes on your techniques because your cards always look terrific!
