I know I told you about the second chick that the mother hen hatched, but I don't think I showed you a picture! She had them out in the barnyard the other day, and I was able to get just a few photos before Alan and I had to put mama hen and the babies in a nesting kennel in the barn. The young roosters were NOT being nice to the babies and the mama hen was getting very stressed out trying to protect them both. So, in the nesting kennel they went until the chicks get a little bigger and stronger.
This photo cracks me up...it looks like mama is giving them instruction (a lecture maybe?) about how to behave in the barnyard. PeeWee (on the left) looks to be paying attention, but I'd bet that Wee Manetta (the yellow one) is napping! Again!

Oh, Anna! I haven't had time to pop in on you in so long--TOO long! I'm on the couch with my laptop and just soakin' all your creative goodness in tonight. Thank you! Thank you for being so fanstampmagorical! I am so happy just bein' here! Smooches, Jules

Maybe she's instructing them on how to put a bikini on, LOL. Adorable photo, TFS.

I am SURE that Wee Manetta is busy taking notes, which is why her head is down!!! She would never think to nap during Mom's lectures. :-)
They are soooooo cute. Glad you have protected them from those nasty boys!

Would you mind terribly mailing Wee Maneta and Pee Wee to me? I promise to be a good loving mother! I so LOVE those little chicks, I would take very good care of them.........

Oh, they are SO cute! What a great picture...it DOES look like a lecture! "stay away from those roosters, babies"!! LOL So glad they are doing well, and thanks for the peek into your wonderful farm life! :)
