A common activity for photographers is keeping a Photo a Day gallery (also referred to as a PAD).
A few years ago (or more) I kept a similar daily photo gallery, but stopped for reasons I can't even remember. Maybe I caved to the pressure of feeling like EVERY photo taken had to be a masterpiece. Now I see it differently. I find that my photos are representational of my day to day activities, and masterpieces or not, they're how I see my world. I thought I'd try keeping a PAD again.
You'll find my Photo a Day gallery in the right side navigation bar here on my blog. Comments are possible in the pBase photo galleries (pBase hosts my gallery), so if you would like to comment on anything in the PAD gallery, feel free! I'd be delighted to hear from you.
Occasionally you'll see my daily photo in my blog post along with details about why I took the photo, but sometimes not. You might be surprised to find uploads to the Photo a Day gallery that never get mentioned in a daily blog post. I hope you peek in on the gallery now and then, and I hope you enjoy what I choose to share.
I took this Texas Fencing photo this evening, just before sunset. I intended to capture some of the wildflowers in the setting sun, but this fence line caught my eye with the warm light of the sun on the posts and grass. This kind of light is always beautiful - quite possibly my favorite. It's referred to as the Golden Hour - just before the sun sets. And I love it.
Dear Anna- Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful photos with us! As a city girl, seeing a glimpse of farm life makes me feel happy! I love it!
You have also made me rethink what I think of Texas. I don't know what I thought before (more like a desert with more animals), but I definitely have a different opinion now. I may have to take a Texas vacation sometime in the future.
I will be checking in on your Daily photos.. just too fun.
thanks for the inspiration.

Absolutely thought provoking! The sun is beautiful, the scene is soooo peaceful, and the subject is to protect things but looks so dangerous. I love the PAD GALLERY. TFS.

Anna, I love the fence line. I might have to try my hand at capturing that scene with my artist pen and reinkers. I especially love Kimberly. Your picture captured her "cat character". I love cats...well and dogs, too!
I look forward to your uploads every day. Whatever it is for the day seems to lift my spirits. Thank you so much for taking the time to give of yourself and your talent.

Beautiful photo! The coloring is fantastic! You do such great work--I know you didn't do the coloring, but you definitely captured it!

Ahhh, great photo, Anna. I don't know how many of those Texas fences I've seen but you've certainly captured the rustic beauty of it! Wonderful lighting.
