Oh, how sad! I'm happy that she's not hurting any longer. I can't believe how much this news upset me, but I know that this is a part of life for all of us, that does not make it any easier...TFS.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that you are a true animal lover and will miss her. I got tears in my eyes as soon as I saw the title of your post. I'm sure Kimberly is in kitty heaven.

I know Kimberly was 'just' a wild farm cat, but I couldn't even read through the other comments without tearing up. I was sad to read of her death, but I'm glad you brought her to the vet and that she didn't suffer needlessly.

booohoooo!!! So sad!

Anna & Alan,
So sorry to hear that Kimberly has passed, but glad to know you did the right thing and would not allow her to suffer. You now have a "fur" angel to watch over you. Thanks for sharing her with us!

It made me sad to read about Kimberly. Pets, even though they are "wild", are such a part of our lives and I'm sure you will miss her and think of her often. I am glad that she is no longer suffering, however. Hugs to each of you.

I am so sorry about Kimberly. We put our Katie Kitty down not too long ago. She was so old but was ready to go as she came down stairs for the first time in four years to tell us. She looked just like your sweet baby. So I hope Katie Kitty greeted her and they become good friends. I saw Katie's going as a time to rescue another cat. while she wanted to be an only child, I knew she would want me to take in another as I took her in. I am sure another lost furry baby will come into your life too.

Sometimes the creatures we dont expect to wrap themselves around our hearts, do. Kimberly, go chase butterflies with my Alex on the other side. He will be a good friend. Tell him I ate a black olive for him today. Its his favorite treat.

Bless her little heart. What a gift she was and what a blessing that she was able to get to a point where she could let you into her universe long enough to capture her spirit on film. She blessed you back and she'll see you again someday. Hugs.

Anna, My heartfelt sympathy on the loss of Kimberly the old farm kitty. Having just recently had to put down my mom's 19 year old cat, Pennywinkle I can fully understand the difficult yet human decision that you had to make. Ida

*sniff* *sniff* Sorry to hear the news, Anna. You and your hubby are very kind to ease her suffering and let her go peacefully. {{{{hug}}}}

My condolences for beautiful Kimberly. Sounds like you were a blessing to her, and she to you...xoxo

awww :( I am glad she didn't suffer. She had a great life on your farm!!

I'm so sorry to hear about Kimberly! I'm seriously tearing up right now!!!I have two cats (and a dog) myself and will be devastated when their time comes! :( I'm so glad that you were able to get those awesome pics of her before she passed! Hugs to you!!!

Anna and Alan, I am so sorry that you lost Kimberly so soon. I am glad that she will be able to continue to wander the farm. For as wild as she was, she must have loved the farm since she never left. Please give each other a hug for me. Saying a prayer for Kimberly and you both.

i'm sorry to hear of your loss, but i'm thrilled to have heard kimberly's story.

I am so sorry to hear about Kimberly. It is nice to be able to bring them 'home' though, and know they are always around. Hugs to you!

I'm so sad to hear about Kimberly, but thanks to you and Alan, she didn't have to suffer anymore.

Thanks for sharing her story.

Thanks for letting us know Anna! And thanks to you and Alan for giving her a good life and a peaceful end.

How wonderful you were able to take this picture before she died. I've started caring for feral cats now that my kids are starting to grow up and not need my nurturing any longer (sniff sniff). I know how skittish a wild cat can be and the rewards of connecting with one.

So glad there are people like you and Alan in the world with such loving hearts.

So sorry to hear the news. What a pretty kitty she was - her eyes were so interesting in color. I love cat's eyes, I could stare into them and look at the textures of the iris forever. It's nice to be able to bury pets at our farms though, that's what my family always did. Take care!

I'm so sorry, Anna!! Poor, sweet kitty ~ at least she had a full, fun life!!

So, so sorry! She was so lucky to have such good, caring parents though...

So sorry to hear about your loss of Kimberly. I am sure she is much more comfortable now though. She was beautiful!! Thinking of you and Alan today!!
Karrie

Oh how sad. I nonrmally don't post comments but thank you for making sure the end for her was peaceful and taking her to the vet, rather than just letting nature take its course and letting her go slowly and painfully. I'm so glad you took her back home to the farm.

Awwww, I'm glad you were able to share her story and pics before she passed.
