The family that owns the land across the road from us keep a small herd of Texas Longhorns. Today the cows and their babies were milling around and napping in the HUGE area of Bluebonnets just on the other side of the fence from us. Compared to our little Dexter cows, these Longhorns are enormous! And would you LOOK at all those flowers! Beautiful!
We got another storm tonight, although a small one. And a little bit of rain to feed the fields. It's a lovely spring here this year...we could use more rain! A couple years of drought have really dried things out. It's so NICE to see green!!
Moo!

unbelieveable! I agree with Jullie Sokolowski that this should be the official postcard/picture for Texas. TFS!

Anna, This is a terrific picture. Have you ever had any of your photo's on www.webshots.com? I love this photo. The blue bonnets (or wild lupine's as we here in the Pacific NW call them) are amazing and having got the Longhorn's in the photo just made it spectacular. Ida

Gorgeous photo! Those Longhorns are a beautiful animal. We had Herefords on our farm and of course they were dehorned come branding time, ummm, yes this really dates me!
Thanks for sharing such great photos

Wow, this picture is awesome! At first I thought you had doctored the photo to add the Longhorn because the Blue Bonnets were so high! TFS!
