I really like some colors of yellow. Like the yellow on the petals of sunflowers. That's a great yellow! And the yellow of the petals on Black-Eyed Susans. Another great yellow (maybe it's the same as the sunflowers?) Stampin' Up's Yo-Yo Yellow? Ewww... I don't like that yellow. Pure cadmium yellow? Not a good yellow.
But I do love the rosier yellows - they're almost orange - like the polka dot paper on this card by Chatterbox. I added the whimsical images (that you can barely see in this photo) to the paper with my Paper Salon doodles stamps. I stamped them in Stampin' Up's Apricot Appeal ink (which happens to be one of my favorite Stampin' Up colors!)
The Two Black-Eyed Susans stamp is one of my Whipper Snapper images from last summer. I stamped it on shimmery white paper, and colored the image with Prismacolor markers. Since this card doesn't have to be mailed, I added a full bow to the front of the card. I like to do this when the card doesn't have to be mashed into an envelope and mailed. This card is for Alan's Mom -- her birthday is tomorrow. Happy Birthday, Sue!
Speaking of birthday's, I talked to my Mom last night. Yesterday was my Grandpa Burt's birthday (Dad's dad) - he would have been 78 this year. And today is my Grandpa Ader's birthday (Mom's dad) - he would have been 105!!
Happy Birthday to all of you celebrating your birthday in March. Oh, and did you know ... not only is March "National Craft month", but it's also "Adopt a Guinea Pig month"!

How funny! I was just in my craft room yesterday and looking at the Yo-Yo Yellow made me sick. Have you seen the color Dandelion in the Crayola line? Now that's a yellow I love. I use Apricot Appeal a ton and love Marigold Morning also.

Very bright and cheerful, a wonderful birthday card! I have to say that I don't mind Yo-Yo yellow that much. I however love Marigold morning more & wish it would stay in the SU catalog. Ida

Lovely card! She will love it! We've had guinea pigs and they are sweet but need a lot of upkeep. We've been the ferret route too! Talk about "ferreting something away", I could definitely see where it came from. Stanley took off with anything he could carry and hid it behind my china cabinet. When we moved, we hit a gold mine of dryer sheets, pencils, pens, anything and everything. He was too funny!
