You've GOT to try these cookies!
I made these for Alan for Valentine's Day, and the recipe is so fabulous that I've just got to share it with you!
Try them out ... if you like chocolate and peanut butter, you'll love them!!
Mister's Cookies
2 cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt (I use Kosher)
1 cup Butter at room temperature
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter (I use Jif!)
1 egg
1 tsp Vanilla
2 cups (or a smidgen more!) Chocolate Chips
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, combine the dry ingredients and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Once combined, add peanut butter. Mix in the egg and vanilla. Slowly add in the combined dry ingredients. Once all are combined, fold in chocolate chips.
Spoon dough into gently formed 2-inch balls and place evenly on a clean cookie sheet (I cover my cookie sheet with baking parchment - works great, and easy clean up!) Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly browned. After you remove the cookies from the oven, let them sit on the cookie sheet for about 1 minute before moving them to a cooling rack. This will let them set up a bit before you move them.
Finally, eat LOTS of them!!
Edited to add: Please be aware of the current Peanut Butter Salmonella issue - read more.

These look so delicious. Do you have to use real butter or could you use marg.?
Thanks, Dale<><

I just made these. They are so good and they stay the same size that you drop onto the sheet. I dropped really tiny cookie dough onto my sheet and the cookies were the same size as the drop. Which I love because I like to make tiny bite sized cookies. No guessing with these. WYSIWYG cookies, who knew. In case you are wondering WYSIWYG what you see is what you get. :-)

I just baked these cookies today, and let me tell you, my whole family just love them! They are awesome. So thank you, thank you, thank you. Your cookies have now been "imported" to Sweden.

Darn! I have all those ingredients in the house but neither mine or my husbands fannies need them. I might have to break down and make 1/2 batch. Cookies don't last long in our house. Sadly, I hate to admit it's only the two of us so we don't even have kids to blame when things go missing.....like a dozen cookies. wink!! My little poodle can't jump to the counter top or open the cookie jar although I have tried to convince my husband of that a few times. He blames it on our two cats when I accuse him.

Wow....it just snowed ANOTHER 3 inches here (after 17 inches earlier this week!) so guess what I'm gonna be doing???? DH loves peanut butter cookies and I love chocolate, what a perfect mix! Will make these as soon as I swim through the chest high snow drifts to feed the horse, cats and chix!! TFS!

Mmmmmm, sounds good. Printing that off to make later. Peter Pan and Walmart are the only two peanut butters to be concerned about.

TFS...these will do my husband well since he is a peanut butter/chocolate chip fiend. So long as he doesn't buy a fire truck, we're all good...hee hee!
