Yesterday I found myself die cutting a bunch of scrap paper, and I ended up making a bunch of trees. When they were on my desk, all laying next to each other, they looked like an entire forest of evergreens. Some of the paper I cut was double sided and I thought it was fun how some of the trees looked in non-traditional tree colors.
I also experimented with die cutting some chipboard that had patterened paper glued to it. It worked great! These trees also remind me of trees you'd seen in hand appliqued quilts, so I wanted to bring in a hand-quilted look to this card. I used my fine point marker to create stitches around the trees, and up the centers. I used Stardust Stickles to create snow falling in the white sky, and added a sparkly snowflake button to the top of the red tree. I really like the home-spun look to this. Very folksy!

What a pretty card. Love the glittered Noel!

Wonderful! It would make a beautiful quilt to cozy up to on a cold day! I love your outline stitching!
