I went out to feed the chickens in the barn today, and look what I found! This little chick hatched earlier this morning and was right out in the middle of the barn! We've got hens sitting on eggs, but they weren't anywhere near this little fuzz ball!
So... *grin* I had to rescue it! ...right? Now, either we'll have more babies hatch over the next few days, or this one will have to grow up a bit before we can put it in with the other monster babies we rescued.
Posie seems like a good name... it is soft baby yellow now, but it will be white when it's grown.
oh Alan... we've got another baby to feed...
