Today I put the finishing touches on this card I started earlier in the week and couldn't finish at the time. The Stampin' Up catalog sample for this set had the daisy flowers stamped in blue - LOVE that idea! I used that idea as a starting point for my design. I used my VersaMagic Chalk inks on my Pearlized (Shimmery) White paper. I think this card feels like silk. Between the paper and the inks, it's very delicate feeling.
Thank You! I want to post a thank you to those of you who have wished me well, and sent me words of advice on how to recoup. You're all full of good ideas! I'm still moving kind of slow, and am still pretty achy, but at least I can stand up straight again! Just no lifting or long reaching for me for a while. And no housework either, since we think that is what did this little number on my back. I never liked housework anyway... =)
In other news, more chicks have hatched this week. Unfortunately, it was a bad idea to leave them with their mother for their first night. We've since learned that she's a psycho hen. So, while two more were hatched this week, we've only been able to rescue one of them. Very sad... but, now we know that the babies all must be taken from the hens - they just can't be trusted. We've named this one One-Eyed-Jack (or Jill, but we're not sure yet). You're looking at his "good" side. Damn hen, anyway...
Miss Daisy celebrated her 6th birthday last week, and received all kinds of birthday wishes. One was this wonderful package of puppy treats from Jodie. Thank you, Jodie! Daisy even shared her treats with Mister Farley - they both give their two paws up for the yummies! And thank you for the farm notes too - HOW CUTE!! You're very kind to send such a great gift!
Thanks Jodie!! Ruff Ruff, Rrrrruuuuufff!
What a gorgeous card!!! Absolutely beautiful!
