These ladies have been the Whipper Snapper Featured Designers for the months of May and June, and they've done such a wonderful job showcasing the stamps! THANKS ladies!!

Shhh... a sneakie peekie!

AnnaWightWSDPoppyBlog Normally, I don't have a hard time keeping secrets - I keep my lips SEALED. But when it comes to soon-to-be-released Whipper Snapper stamps, I can BARELY contain myself! Sometimes, I'm just not able to contain myself at all! That's the case for this card!

Last night I was fiddling around with some of my yet-to-be-released Whipper Snapper images, and am just thrilled with the results of my painted poppy! To finish the card, I used the "thinking of you" sentiment and bird image from the set called Sweet Expressions, which was released mid June. The swirl is from Good Times, also released mid June. But the poppy?! Well, you'll just have to wait and see what we've got in store for July!

Ooooh, I can't WAIT!

Fresh and Fruity!

AnnaWightWSDFruityDrinkblog Here's a little fruity drink design to get you through a weekend! I stamped the images, which are from my recently released Whipper Snapper set called Good Times, in black StazOn ink. Then I painted the images with a water brush and Stampin' Up ink refills. I liked the black designer paper with this image - it makes me think of colored confetti!

I added a line of sparkly Diamond Dust glitter to the rim of the glass, for a bit of "sugar". This looks like a nice, refreshing treat for a hot, Texas weekend on the farm.

Happy FRIDAY!!

You're My Favorite

AnnaWightWSDMyFavoriteBlog
This evening I had time to put the finishing touches on another card using my newly released unmounted Whipper Snapper set called Sweet Expressions. I chose to use the little standing bird image, and created a little crowd of birdies. The images are stamped in black StazOn ink, and colored with a water brush and Stampin' Up Ink refills.

I found some cute plaid paper in my paper stash, made a quick little sentiment banner, added some foam dimensionals to main image layer, and stuck it all together. Oh, and I added some faux stitches around the edges. Easy Peasy!

Happy Wednesday!! We're one day closer to the weekend!

Introducing Sweet Expressions & Good Times!

AnnaWightWSDmmmChocolateblo Today is an exciting day for me and Whipper Snapper! Today, two new unmounted stamp sets release for the month of June. Yahoo! I created this little 4x4 note card using two images from the Sweet Expressions set. I stamped the cupcake and sentiment in black StazOn ink, and colored the image with Copic markers. I added a little sparkle to the image with a Spica glitter pen. Oooh, ah!

SweetExpressionsINSERTsmWEB I am so excited about Sweet Expressions! I was able to pull some of my favorite sentiments into the set using small, whimsical fonts. I added some doodled images at the bottom of the set, just for fun.

GoodTimes-smweb The second set releasing today is called Good Times. It was designed with summer parties and FUN in mind. Assorted fruity drinks and little summer images help splash some cheery, hot fun into your projects!

Be sure to check out the creations from the Featured Designers! The best part of any release for me is seeing what the Featured Designers create. I love their creative energy!! Here are their names for you one more time:

Happy Everything!

AnnaWightWSDHappyEverytblog Boy oh BOY, have I been BUSY! I can't even BEGIN to tell you how busy I've been with Whipper Snapper secrets! Let me just say.... trust me when I say I've been BUSY! And I'm CRAZY EXCITED about every single bit of it, too!

The best part is sharing it with you, so I couldn't help but share just a wee itty bitty little sneak peek with you! The sheep and grass on this card and envelope are from BoPeep's Sheep, released with Whipper Snapper earlier this year.

The sunshine and sentiment? Well, there's a sneak peek for ya! Told you it was itty bitty! We've got two new sets releasing June 16th, and I'm lovin' them already!  Stay tuned for more, since you KNOW I can't keep too many things secret around here!

The images on the card were stamped in black StazOn ink. I used Crayola (yes, Crayola!) markers (a whoppin' $2.99 Target Back to School sale purchase I made a few years ago) to color the images. Some quick additions with a Copic Spica pen added just the right amount of sparkle and shine. You know how I love the sparkles!

Holiday Weekend!

AnnaWightWSDMamaKittyblog Happy Memorial Day weekend! Hope you and your families have fun plans for the weekend. We're hanging around the farm, as there always seems to be something to do here. Babies need spoiled (um, I mean fed)..... so we don't stray too far from home.

This week wore me out. Yesterday evening after work I went and laid down for a nap. Nearly 5 HOURS later, I woke up. Jeez! I must have needed that nap more than I realized! We had dinner, I spoiled (um, fed) the babies, and then decided I'd put together a few cards I've been thinking about finishing all week and just hadn't gotten around to doing it yet.

This is one of the cards I finished. I used the mama kitty image from my recently released Whipper Snapper set called Cat's Life. I stamped the image on shimmery white paper and colored it with Copic markers.

I stamped the paw prints (another one of the images from the Cat's Life set) on the background paper in Summer Sun ink by Stampin' Up.

Hope you're having a great weekend!!

Cat's Life Cards

Annawightwsdcatfood Here are two cards I created using various images from the new Cat's Life unmounted set I illustrated for Whipper Snapper.

The "queen for a day" card was made with shimmery cream colored paper, black mat, and an orange note card from Memory Box.

I stamped the images in black StazOn and colored them with Copic markers. The fish that the kitty's dreaming of was stamped with River Rock ink from Stampin' Up. The crown is added to the cat's head using a pop dot, so it's got a little dimension.

Annawightfishhello For the fish card, I used a small Amuse note card. The fish and bowl were stamped on a separate piece of paper, cut out, and adhered to the small note card. The images were colored with Copic markers. The little "hello" sentiment is an oldie from Amuse.

If you haven't checked out the creations from the Featured Designers yet, you must! Every one of their creations are wonderful! I get so GIDDY when I see what the other designers make with the images. Here are their names for you one more time:

Introducing Cat's Life & Good Dog!

Annawightwsddogruff I am so VERY excited! Today is the official release of TWO of my new unmounted sets from Whipper Snapper called Good Dog and Cat's Life.

I have been having loads of fun with these sets, but I really can't wait to see what the Whipper Snapper Featured Designers have created! That's the best part of any release for me!

All of the Whipper Snapper unmounted sets are made of high quality red rubber with a soft, gray cling mount backing that adheres wonderfully to acrylic Catslifeinsertwebblocks. The sets are packaged in quality jewel cases for easy storage.

The images will be on a sheet of red rubber, packaged in a jewel case along with the image insert.

A good, sharp pair of scissors is all you'll need to carefully cut apart the images. I use non-stick serrated scissors by Tonic.

Gooddoginsertweb Once your images are cut apart, you're ready to mount them to an acrylic block and get stampin'!

In addition to the two new sets, I'm also SUPER excited to introduce you to five new Whipper Snapper Featured Designers for the months of May and June! Be sure to check out their galleries and blogs! I am so excited to be working with them!

wish BIG!

Annawightwishbighat1I have been having so much fun designing the Whipper Snapper unmounted sets! The set we released in April was Happy Birthday. The hat and sentiment I used on this card are from that set. I like using bright colors on this hat for lots of Happy Birthday shout-out!

Two new unmounted sets are being released next Tuesday -- how fun is THAT! On my Mom's birthday! If I had a tail, I'd wag it!

There's a new line-up of Whipper Snapper Featured Designers to ooooh and ahhhhh us with their stamped creations. I can't wait to see what they've been up to! I'll reveal them on Tuesday - stay tuned!
