A new challenge is being shared today on the Impression Obsession Blog, and I hope you join the fun! The challenge is Fanciful Florals! Pull out your Impression Obsession stamps and/or dies, and join us!
I have very limited supplies available to me currently, so you'll have to excuse my "stretch" with this week's challenge topic. However, you will notice that this little mermaid is "dressed" in some of her finest florals, wouldn't you say?! Hehee! I stamped the images in black StazOn ink on watercolor paper and colored her and her jellyfish friends with watercolor paints.
Find all the details on how to enter the challenge on the Impression Obsession Blog. A random challenge entry will be selected to showcase on the IO blog and you can to enter to win a $25 gift certificate to IO just by playing!
Now, get ready for a wonderful dose of inspiration and check out what the other team members created for the challenge. Have fun!!
Welcome to day 2 of the Impression Obsession 2016 Summer Release Blog Hop! I'm hoping to inspire you to use your summertime themed images for more than just cards!
For today's project I chose to create a couple of memory pages, featuring several of the new stamps from the release. I chose a handful of images from the new release that fit with my summer "hot spots". I stamped the images in black waterproof ink onto watercolor paper. Using waterproof ink allows the images to be colored using watercolor paints, which are an easy, on-the-go coloring medium to take with you. So, you could actually stamp an entire book of images in this way, grab your watercolor palette and brush, and head out on your vacation and have a nice quiet time activity to enjoy while you're on vacation! Don't forget to take a waterproof fine line black pen with you, so you can doodle a bit as well! Adding your own doodled lines, dots, and squiggles will only add to your memory pages.
I left a blank area for a photo to be adhered later, and a spot for journaling as well.
I think these crabs are just about the cutest crabs on the beach, and provided the perfect corner embellishment for the journaling square on this page.
Using images that celebrate summer create the perfect canvas for a quick and easy summertime memory page!
The second page I created features hiking and camping images and will be perfect for adding a photo taken during a hiking trip. I created a spot on this page for journaling, too.
I pulled these pages from a watercolor tablet, but it would be wonderful to create an entire memory journal using this format. Single pages can be put up on display, or added to another memory book -- either way, it is a fun and creative way to document your summer adventures!
