Not only is today great because I have the day off, but it's also great because today is the day I get to introduce two of my new unmounted sets from Whipper Snapper Designs!
I created this card using the new set called Wildflower Silhouette. What's exciting about this set is that five of the illustrations in the set actually originated from my own photographs of flowers. It's a wonderful thing, combining my photography, illustration, and paper crafting!
I inked the large Mexican Hat silhouette image with various colors of Queue inks and stamped the image on Whisper White paper from Stampin' Up!. I heat set the stamped image quickly so I didn't smear the ink while I finished the card. You could skip this part if you wait long enough for the ink to dry, or if you're careful while handling the stamped layer.
This set works nicely with the previously released sets: Blossoms & Butterflies, Blooming Expressions, Love at Home, and Friendly Expressions.
The second set being released this month is one that hasn't left my desk yet! It's called Signature Series, and was designed with card backs and tags in mind, but you will find even more uses for this set!
For this project, I dressed up some fresh strawberry jam with a bit of fabric and ribbon. I made a little "farm fresh" tag using one of the images from Signature Series.
There's a variety of themes in the set, which I hope you find irresistible!

Ooooh, I saw a sheep in that set (although there are many types of non-sheep fibers now, and knitters/crocheters/spinners who are allergic to such, but ooo was I excited to see that wheeee!!!!)
Gonna mention it on Ravelry, so if you see a surge in sales, that might be why . . . . .

Congrat's **Miss Cluck** on your new WS releases!! Both sets are beautiful, but you know I have a ~THANG~ for your feathered friends =)
I'm loving this creation of yours, in which you called it a "Mexican Hat" ~ is that a nickname for this flower? My Nanny always adored these flowers, but here in Canada they are called "Black Eyed Suzies".
The way you've created this image it looks like you've used oil paints ~ it's splendid.
PS. Just rec'd my WS order of all your chickens ~~ so you KnOw WhO WiLL BE having a fun time tonight ~~> look out :0)
