A friend is celebrating a birthday in a few days, so I put together this card for her using the flower image and a sentiment from Friendly Expressions. (Can you see the sentiment, stamped ever so lightly behind the flowers?) The same sentiment is stamped (in full) on the inside for the greeting.
This card is not a "standard" size. I decided to go with a 3.5"x5", because of the image size and simple layout. This is actually my favorite card size to make -- you'd think I'd make them more often!
The paper I chose is by My Mind's Eye (love their paper!). Their papers are heavy enough to use as a card base, and has a wonderful texture. The backside of this sheet is a nice shade of blue that I used as the matting and as the little scalloped edge. The scallops along the edge were made using my Fiskars scalloped shears.
Hope you're having a good week so far!

Love the card, especially your background paper...very pretty!

This is beautiful! Your friend will love it! I have to say...I took a stroll through your whipper snapper store and I am doomed! I found so many that I *have* to have! I have to wait for some more stamping funds, but they are next on my list! Thank you for creating such fab designs and fab stamps! I love all of your stuff. I even have my mom hooked on your blog! Hi Ardyth!
I had trouble as well, and realized that I needed to install a newer version of Internet Explorer. I was running an older version of Internet Explorer that wasn't allowing me to click on links or view images on the Whipper Snapper site (and others!).
You might need to install a newer version, too. All of the issues I was having were fixed once I was using version 7 of Internet Explorer.
You can see which version of Internet Explorer you're running by clicking on the HELP menu, and choosing About Internet Explorer. If your version number is anything below 7, I recommend you install the newer version of Internet Explorer.
You will find the download and install here on the Microsoft Internet Explorer website:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx
I see they have Beta version 8 available, but I didn't install that (I don't like Beta versions). I installed version 7, and everything works GREAT now!!
Hope this is helpful...
Thanks!
-Anna.

As usual Anna, your I'm dying to get your sets, but I can't seem to get into Whippersnapper's website (not even to tell them that I can't get in!!) Hopefully I'll have better luck tomorrow?

Hi Anna! Love this size of card! And especially love that scallop edge peeking out! Take good care!

Love the soft, warm feeling of this card. Especially like the way you did the button and one piece of embroidery floss (?--I use emb. floss a lot and have lots of colors in my stash.) The light sentiment in the background adds a lot too.

The past two cards you've posted are so sweet and remind me of my Nanny [Grandmother]. She always had a garden full of Black Eyed Suzys, which is what the image of your card resembles greatly.
The CS you used in today's post is fantastic, especially with how you lightly stamped the sentiment behind the flower :) Love it Anna!! !!

3 1/2 X 5 is my favorite size also. I think that is the only size I made for my first 8 or so years of stamping. Very pretty card. I wouldn't have thought to stamp the word image in the background like that. Very special. Love the MME paper also.
