Sassy & Sweet Notes: Dirty Girl Polly

Each month, the current and past Dirty Dozen stampers get together for a challenge. Today's the day we post our January challenge!

Our theme for this month's challenge was something "girly", so it seemed like the perfect time for me to use Polly, one of my new Whipper Snapper stamps from the January release.

We were also supposed to incorporate "sweet" into our design. How we interpreted "sweet" was up to us. I chose to use Chocolate Chip paper (that's sweet, for sure!), and a portion of a sentiment from a Memory Box stamp. The full sentiment reads "life is sweet because of you", but I didn't want the tag to be quite so large. Cutting off the third line worked perfectly!

I also chose to use sweet designer paper by Basic Grey. This particular print is called Cupid.

Another requirement for our card/project was that we couldn't do a standard A2 sized card (4.25 x 5.5). We had to change things up a bit! My card measures 3.5 x 6.5.

I got the idea for the layout from a cute card on page 72 of the current Stampin' Up catalog. It's hard to see in the photo, but the left side of the designer paper has a couple of sewn lines from top to bottom. It's a great layout, and one I'm sure I'll be using again! Soon!
